"Keith come down stairs!" Mom yelled for me, "You have to get ready for school." She turned to see the stairs from her spot in the kitchen. But instead she saw me, raven black hair combed and baggy cloths on. She came over and rubbed my shoulders. "Since when did you get so grown up?" She asked with a loving tone in her warm voice. Her blond hair was up in a bun, wisps of hair falling to frame her pale face.Madre came over to me and ruffled my hair. "Buenas días, Keith" she said. She was still in her long silky red robe, it complemented her dark skin perfectly. I smiled at her. My head cocked to the side at the smell fresh batter. "You made pancakes, mom?" I said with wide, bright eyes. She winked at me and served me a plate. They were warm and covered in syrup and blueberries. I went to sit at the island and began to stuff my face. I checked the time on my phone after finishing the pancakes. 7:05. "What time does the bus come?" Madre questioned me after looking over my shoulder to see

"Seven ten." I replied. "Oh my gods!" I was going to be late! Madre and mom laughed and then began helping me get my things. "Hey this isn't funny," I said with a smile. " I'm going to be late." I began to laugh with them. "Oh wait I have to be at work by seven thirty!" Madre realized. We burst out laughing once again. Madre riped off her robe revealing a sharp black suit. She grabbed her tea and kissed mom before grabbing me by the arm and running to the door. "Have a good day you two!" Mom yelled from the kitchen.

"We will." We yelled back. I hope we didn't wake Benji up.
