Chapter 1
Sydney
I have always been into scary movies, ghost and anything that most people wouldn't like. I woke up and started getting ready for school. I put on holey blue jeans with a sunflower crop-top, put my long wavy blonde hair in an up-do. I started walking out of my two story beautiful house and started to walk to school. I always walk the same way but today i wanted to take a short cut, so I could meet up with my boyfriend Chad.
When I took this short cut I realized that there was a mansion that I have never seen before, it looked like it was really shady and terrifying. And when I looked towards the house I got really nervous and had a bad feeling in my gut but was also super exited. I continued to walk to school thinking about the mansion. When I got to school I found my boyfriend Chad and told him about the mansion, he told me that after school when he walks me home we can go and look at it together. The school day dragged on, it was finally the last block of the day which is history, when the bell rang I walked out into the hallway to see Chad waiting for me.
When we started walking the way I had taken that morning I saw where the mansion was and pointed at it to Chad, but he did not see it.
" How do you not see it, it is right in front of you?" I yelled. I ended up just thinking it was a dream I had and we continued to walk to my house.
When we got there my little brother and sister were getting home too and asked if Chad could stay for dinner. He stayed for dinner and asked me if I was okay because there wasn't a mansion and thought I was going crazy. I told him I think it was just a dream and that I was okay, we kissed goodbye and he headed home.
I couldn't stop thinking about the Mysterious Mansion that only I saw so I decided to do some research but came to a dead end when I couldn't find anything. I was so tired from all the research I had fallen asleep. When I woke up I put on leather pants and my favorite leather jacket, I decided to walk the same way as I did yesterday. When I walked up to where the mansion was I decided to walk up and see why no one else could see it. When i got to the front door all I heard was talking from inside so I knocked, when no one opened I started to walk away when there was creaking sounds behind me.
"May I ask why you are knocking on my door?" a deep but attractive voice said.
I slowly turn around and see a handsome man standing at the door staring at me with his bright icy blue eyes and his brown hair that goes to his shoulders, he was covered in tattoos.
"Yesterday I walked by and saw your mansion and I have never seen it before, when I walked by it again with my boyfriend he couldn't see it so I am confused on why I could but he couldn't." I said. He asked me if I wanted to come in so we could talk more about it, I agreed and walked into the mansion that was so pretty on the inside despite the outside looking creepy.
"My name is Sydney by the way" I said.
" Its nice to meet you Sydney, my name is Nicko." he said. I followed him into the living room which was a baby blue color with a lot of books and posters everywhere.
" So why is it I can see this place but no one else seems to be able to?" I asked. He took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes. She doesn't know what she is does she he thought to himself.
" Only the people who are part of a pack called Sunflower Pack can see it, it has a spell on it that no mortals can see it to make sure the pack stays safe." he says.
I look at him in a confused but amused way. " But I'm mortal and I can see it so that makes no sense to me, if you aren't mortal than what are you?" I asked. Trying to think of the best way to tell her that she isn't mortal and that she is really the lost Luna that is supposed to be his mate.
"Do you want anything to eat or drink before we continue this conversation?" he asked. I shock my head no and am still very confused.
"I am not mortal you got that correct, I am the Alpha of the Sunflower Pack. And you are something very special." he said. Before I could say anything there was a knock on the door.
"Come in Charlie" Nicko said.
When a man walks in with brown hair and blue eyes. He looks at me and says that there is something they need to talk about in private.
" Sydney would you be okay coming back at a different time and continuing this conversation later tonight?" Nicko asked. I look at him confused but shock my head yes and walked out of the mansion and headed home.
When I get home I see that my mother was busy on the phone, so I took the opportunity to go to my room before she realized I just got home and yells at me. I went to my room and started working on homework and listening to music, though I couldn't get the thought of what Nicko said out of my mind.
My phone started to ring. " Hello beautiful, do you have any plans tonight?" Chad says on the other end of the phone.
"Yes I have to work on a project with one of my classmates tonight." I said knowing there was no project, but if I told him I was going to the mansion that he couldn't see he'd think I was crazy.
" Oh okay well what about after?" he asks.
"I don't know how long it is going to take but I need to get ready I will talk to you tomorrow." I said and hung up.
I changed into my favorite sunflower crop-top and let my curls down, I have my favorite leather pants on and my black high heels on and headed to the mansion.
