Twin Flames

Summary

It was an old legend of this world that certain twin pairs were one soul split between two bodies, made for each other. Rhea and Prachi were one such pair, rare, lost to legend and separated at birth, meeting again as enemies.

Chapter 1

“Kiss me.”

The terms of the ragging were clear. Prachi had two options, none of them satisfactory.

Either kiss Rhea in front of everyone or slap the next person to walk through the college gate which could be anyone, a teacher, student, even the principal and risk getting expelled on her first day.

The smirk on Rhea's lips taunted her, she wanted to wipe it away so bad.

“Prachi, come on, we don't have to do anything they say-.” It was Shahana, for the first time, being more reasonable, and that in of itself should have been concerning.

But Prachi's lips were already crashing against Rhea's, hand roughly gripping the back of Rhea's hair, bringing her head down to Prachi's level.

Rhea froze, taken by surprise.

She was sure, when she proposed the challenge that Ms. Hoshiarpur would never kiss a girl.

Or be so good at it.

Rhea had had many kisses before, but suddenly they all felt mediocre, never were they so passionate, never did they feel… so right.

Rhea kissed back. Without a second thought, pulling Prachi in closer, hands on Prachi's hips, Rhea kissed back.

Her ears vaguely registered cheers and a whistle or two from the crowd around them, as her tongue darted out to explore Prachi's mouth.

But Prachi's teeth clamped down hard on Rhea's bottom lip, and a muffled groan escaped Rhea as a metallic taste filled both of their mouths.

Rhea flinched away, both of their chests heaving for breath, locked eyes, breathing the same air, flushed… aroused.

Prachi turned on her heels, her hair lightly smacking Rhea's face. Strawberries. She smelled of strawberries.

Rhea watched Prachi leave, thumb swiping away the drop of blood from her lip, that Prachi's bite had managed to draw.

She should be mad. Yes. She should be mad that Prachi still somehow won, but Rhea just laughs quietly to herself.
