CHAPTER 1 Finn sits on the bench off the sideline of the field the noise deafening in the background as he and the guys watch friends on the field. It's the last football match of the season and the last for them after graduating from Rockford University in Phoenix. But even with all the excitement going on around him, with the buzz of the game his mind was far across the ocean. Thinking of his best friend and the love of his life Maddison Taylor, Maddy for short, as the laughter fills the air, mingling with the distant cheers of the crowd on the field, Finn's mind shifted to a memory of Maddy, her eyes sparkled with mischief giving him a playful grin on her lips as she held out the ice cream cone to my mouth for a taste, only she shift it higher so my nose ended up in the frosty treat instead. " Oh my God." She said while doubling over and howling with laughter at my expense. I remember chasing after her to get my revenge, the sound of her laughter ringing out across my backyard, and thinking to myself how I wanted to hear that sound for the rest of mylife.
