Chapter 1 Firs lover VS Wife

Alisha’s POV

Dark rainclouds were gathering outside the house, and bringing a breath of moisture in the air from time to time. I looked at the clock worriedly. It was 11 p.m. but my husband, Archied, the Alpha of the most powerful pack, Golden Crest, hadn’t been back.

The food on the dining table had already gone cold, so I poured it into the trash bin and went back to the kitchen to prepare a new meal. Archie only ate the freshest food. However, while I was cooking, suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in the palm of my hand, followed by a scream echoing in my ears.

“Luna, you’re bleeding!” The omega maid, Mireya shouted worriedly.

“Stay calm, you forgot we’re werewolves? Don’t panic, just get me some bandages,” I reassured. Mireya brought me the bandages, and I pressed them against the wound, but the bleeding wouldn’t stop. It was strange because my wounds usually healed quickly, but my Gift was wound healing。 Why it didn’t work this time?

“Fetch me some medicine as well,” I told the maid, noticing her deep concern. Just as I was about to take the medicine, everything went black before my eyes, and my heart throbbed with excruciating pain. I heard the maid frantically searching for her phone, attempting to call my husband.

“Luna, I called Alpha, but no one answered the phone. Maybe I can drive you to the hospital to deal with your cut. The knife pierced your hand and you have lost a good deal of blood.”

“Never mind, Mireya, it’s not a big deal. Believe me, I can handle it by myself. Maybe Archie was busy now. I don’t need to go to the hospital. You can help me to get some new bandages. I need to change it.” I calmed the poor Omega, who maybe never seen so much blood before. I couldn’t leave, because I had to stay at home to wait for Archie. But I had a nasty feeling now.

Today was our wedding anniversary, so I had prepared a big meal to celebrate it with him. Did he forget it? I implied to him this morning that today was special and I hoped that he could come back tonight. Did he get into trouble with something? Maybe I should call him, but I was afraid that I might disturb him if he was busy with his work now. Today would be over soon, this was the second wedding anniversary for us, and we had missed the first one, and I didn’t want to miss it one more.

I held my phone tightly and didn’t know whether I should call Archie again. At this time, a news notification popped up on my phone-”Singer Erma suspected to be celebrating birthday with her mysterious boyfriend.”

My heart skipped a beat at sight of the name “Erma”, my husband’s first lover, and destined mate.

I couldn’t wait anymore and summoned up the courage to call Archie. As the phone was connecting, my heartbeat became fast. When I got through, I heard a woman’s voice on the other end of the line, “Sorry, Alisha, Archie is sleeping now.”

Her genteel accent irritated me, and I got numb with this familiar but disgusting tone, Erma Cosey. “Why ... why are you answering Archie’s phone? And why is he sleeping in your room?” I asked with a shaking voice, gripping the phone with tension, blood flowed down my hand.

“Well, Archie and I just finished sex. Sorry, Alisha, I know you are Archie’s wife, but you’re a disabled werewolf even without a wolf, who was unable to set up a link with him, so never can you give Archie real pleasure from his mate. You don’t know how happy he is while he is with me.”

My mind went blank when I heard Erma’s reply.

“Oh my Moon Goddess, today is your wedding anniversary right? But doesn’t Archie tell you that today is my birthday, so he would like to stay with me tonight?” Erma answered with a gurgle, “You know Archie loves me very much. As a disabled she-wolfwere, although you can become Luna by your shameful tricks, I am his true love! You can never get Archie’s love and respect!”

No wonder that Archie didn’t appear on our first wedding anniversary. He told me that he was dealing with something important that day, so he just ordered a bouquet of roses for me and didn’t come home. Now, I knew the answer. He was busy accompanying Erma, his best lover.

I tried my best to control myself to reply calmly, “Well, Archie has told me a few days ago, but I didn’t care about this trifle.” Then I hung up the phone immediately before I burst into tears. I wouldn’t let that bitch hear it.

There was a vivid flash of lightning at the window, and the trees were bending in the gale.

I broke into hysterical sobs of grief and shame. How could Archie treat me like this?

I knew I was a qualified wife for him. As the alpha of the Golden Crest, the most powerful pack in this region, Archie should marry a strong and capable she-wolf, instead of me, a disable werewolf who even didn’t have a wolf.

I knew I wasn’t Archie’s destined mate, Archie was finally forced to marry me by his grandma, the last Luna of the Golden Crest.

I fell in love with him at the first sight, but he loved Erma. I thought after getting married, I could snatch him from her, but now, it turned out that I was wrong. Erma was his mate. And no matter what I did, I would never beat her.

I was a totally loser. Our wedding anniversary and Erma’s birthday, Archie chose the latter with no hesitation. Archie never loved me. Only Erma was his lover.

I had been on the beautiful dream for two years, and now I should wake up.

The omega servant, Mireya, seemed to hear my sobs, so she entered the dining room and asked worriedly, “Madam, are you OK?”

I hurried to wipe the tears away and found an excuse, “I’m fine. I … I was just frightened by the thunder just now.”

“Yeah, the rain was heavy now. You can call alpha to come back to accompany you.”

No, he wouldn’t come back. He just cared about Erma. How could he abandon her to get home to accompany me?

I forced a smile and replied, “It doesn’t matter. I am gonna sleep and you don’t need take care of me tonight.”

“Luna, you should have a baby. Then you won’t feel lonely when Alpha is out.” Mireya seemed to notice my sadness and suggested me out of kindness.

But how could I give birth to a baby by myself? Archie even didn’t want to have sex with me! We only had few sex over two years. But I was too ashamed to tell this to others.

I thanked Mireya and then stepped back into my bedroom desperately.

I didn’t want others see the mess of my shit marriage, which would just make me shamed and embarrassed.

When I climbed on bed with a heavy heart, my phone suddenly buzzed and a message came in-“Forget to tell you just now, I am pregnant. I hope the little baby can get your blessing. After all, it is also Ariche’s kid.”

I felt extremely cold and helpless as I read the message from Erma, tears pouring down my face.

I lost sleep and endured the torture in the cold room.

When the first ray of the morning sun went through the window. I finally heard the sound that the bedroom’s door was open.

My husband was back, after staying the whole night with another woman.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters.
