INTRODUCTION
Life is not a bed of roses. It all starts with thorns which represent our problems, though these thorns of life are what make us stronger. Through a lot of work, nurturing, and the basic necessities, it eventually produces lovely roses. Our main character in this book was a victim of this theory of life. She faced a lot of problems while growing up and while in university. She was at the verge of throwing in the towel but was held back by her grandmother’s advice. After an unforeseen encounter, Uchechi's’ bad luck seemed to get worse after meeting Matthew; but there’s always a silver lining.
This story is telling us that there is no need to give up on life even when it seems to show you hate, every dark cloud has a silver lining and there is always a light at the end of every tunnel. Enjoy.
Nice beginning. I remember reading somewhere once that good plot involves the MC’s lie. What does the protagonist believe that she eventually learns is not real while she progresses through the story? The idea that life is not a bed of roses is a good one. 👍
