Summary

It's been almost a year since I met a Dalex. We were still so in love… or so I thought. However, I would soon find out that maybe he wasn't the man for me… or I wasn't the woman for him. I would realize that I don't know my true self at all and...that I have eyes for others too. For another man. Will I be able to keep the good and naive girl in me, or will I become a strong and independent woman? Will I give in to passion or stay true? The second part of the “Cashed” series is here! Enjoy! ☺️

Once upon a time...

It's been almost a year since we've been together with the Dalex.. It's been good. I won't lie I didn't think we would last this long. He had stopped the bullshit, wasn't looking at another woman, and was focusing on work and...me. Maggie and Dawkins were still working for him and I was on great terms with them.

I even had my own small cosmetics business. Can you imagine? A year ago, I owed money, but now I am making money on my own. And let me tell you... I was doing very well.

Brittany tried to sue us, but her evidence didn't hold up in court and we won the case.

Now she had a restraining order... and everything was going well.

Or at least that's what I thought...

Cherry

I had just finished dinner when I heard someone enter the house. Today was a day off; besides me, no one was here.

It meant Dalex was coming home and we could cuddle.

I heard another voice.

"-Yeah, man, I couldn't still believe... "

"-F*ck, that`s awesome..."

It seemed strange to me and I went to check.

-Hello, baby. How are you - Dalex came up to me and kissed me.

- Um.. well, but I didn't know we'd have company...

I looked over at the other person standing behind Dalex.

A young man, about my age, wearing a jacket and has one of those nasty haircuts where men lick their hair with gel.

-Oh, so this is your girl? - He smiled and held out his hand to me. - Nice to meet you, my name is Clarent.

- Nice to meet you. - I nodded to him.

- Sorry for not warning you, but we met unexpectedly and I had to invite him... we haven't seen each other in years, right bro? Dalex smiled and patted him on the shoulder.

- Yeah, dude, for years... what a time!

- Come on in, what's for dinner baby? - Dalex asked.

-Um.. pizza? - I looked at him questioningly.

- Great, I'm quite hungry. - Clarent grinned and looked at the Dalex.

- Come on, come in, there we will tell her how we know each other.

We sat in the dining room, and I served. By the time I was setting up the dishes, Clarent was already sipping the drink Dalex had given him and bursting into laughter.

I didn't like him.

-Nice name, Cherry. - He smiled to me.

-Your name is interesting, too. What does it mean?

-Haven't you heard of King Arthur's sword?

- Yes, Excalibur?

- No, for his other sword. - He winked at me.

- Um.. no. - I looked at the Dalex who was also grinning.

- Calm down, just kidding. But, indeed, King Arthur had another sword called Clarent. It was even said that his powers were as great as Excalibur's.

- Okay... how do you know each other? - I asked him as I took a bite of the slice of pizza.

- We have been friends since childhood. We even started our businesses together. Clarent is four years younger than me but is as smart as me. He was my younger brother…

- We've been through so much, brother. - Clarent turned to him and handed him a toast - Cheers. For the good old days. And for the new better ones.

After dinner, Clarent and Dalex moved into the living room to talk while I finished up some work on the new cosmetics I was launching soon.

After a while, Dalex came to me.

- Baby, what are you doing?

- I am placing an order for a gentleman who ordered a present for his wife. This is his 5th order for this month... very nice.

- Yes, cool customer.

- At least someone makes gifts, unlike you... - I looked at the Dalex questioningly.

- Baby, you already have enough money to buy whatever you want. - He came and hugged me.

- The gesture is important. - I rolled my eyes and sighed - A true romantic.

-What do you want me to buy you? - He smiled at me and kissed me on the forehead.

-Nothing - I smiled at him - I'm just reminding you that sometimes it's nice to make gestures...

- You're right. I'll catch up - he grinned - Do you mind if Clarent stays sleeping here? It's quite late now, and we have rooms...

- No, but won't his wife be waiting for him?

Dalex laughed.

- His wife? He has at least 3 girlfriends but no wife.

- So a copy of you before.

-Pale copy.

I pushed him.

- A*shole. - I shook my head.

-Your a*shole. - He blew me a kiss.

-Okay. Let him stay, it's not a problem for me.

-Thanks, baby. - He smiled - I am going to accommodate him in the small drawing room.

- Okay. - I smiled at him and continued with my work.

" For L.M. Thank you for choosing our products."

I wrote the card and added it to the order.
