Chapter 1

"Jenny, I know I keep bothering you with this, but when are you going to get into a relationship? I want grandkids, your father, and I aren't going to get any older. And you aren't getting any younger, I can set you up with my friend Debbie's daughter Lora. She's very successful, she's a business woman I can if you her number if you want". My mom rambles into my ear I bit my lip to stop an irritating groan from escaping my throat, as much as I love my mother I wish, she wouldn't push the thought of having kids and being a relationship on me so much. Don't get me wrong, I love that her and my father are so accepting that I'm a lesbian and they've never pushed dating or marrying a man on me. But they still want grandkids, and sometimes it gets tiresome dealing with her. Kids aren't my main focus but I do wish I had a wife, someone who I can show off to my parents, someone who I can take care of but sadly I haven't found the one yet I'm 28 years old. Working an office job with no one to come home to, I run my fingers through my purple hair before opening up my mouth to speak.

"I know you're just looking out for me, Mama. I appreciate you for that, but I promise when I meet the right woman and want to have kids with her. You and Papa will be the first to know. " I tell her softly as I hear her sigh heavily on the phone. "Okay, I'll leave you alone about this, I love you, Jen, remember to eat healthy. Brush your teeth and always remember Papa, and I love you very much. " She tells me that as it brings a smile to my face, I really am lucky to have a mother and father who are so supportive of me.

". I love you guys, too. I'll come visit you guys next Sunday. I hope you're making my favorite next week. " I say while smiling on the phone with my mother. It's her turn to laugh while on the phone with me. "I remember sweetie meatloaf with mashed potatoes, sweet peas, and sweet Hawaiian rolls. And for dessert chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream!". My mother happily chirps into the phone, causing me to laugh once again. "You know how to spoil me. What did I do? I deserve to have a mother like you?". I asked softly, smiling so hard my face hurts. My mother laughs softly. "I'm the lucky one, sweetie. I'll always love you no matter what, okay? I've got to go. Your father is taking me out dancing tonight. And you know how long it takes me to get ready, I'll call you tonight, sweetie!". Mom tells me as we say our goodbyes and finally hang up with each other.

I sighed softly, wishing I had the kind of relationship that my mother and father had. They met each other when they were in their early 20s in the library. Mom had trouble getting a thriller book from her favorite thriller author, Gillian Flynn, but it was too high for mom. Dad had walked up to her, grabbed it, and gave it to her. They told me the moment they looked into each other's eyes they knew they were meant to be and after 8 years of dating, they got married dad had proposed to mom at the very library they met at. Dad had rearranged for the staff and their friends to help with the proposal. They got mom's favorite books and genres. I've seen the video every time I go visit my parents. It's so cute! I squeal every time I watch it when I'm over there, I sighed softly, honestly wishing I had that kind of love my parents have. To just have someone to go out on dates with to make them happy, I wanna cook their favorite food for them, I want someone to laugh at my stupid jokes. I think back at what my mother says to me earlier while we were on the phone.

"Your father and I want grandkids. We aren't getting any younger." I sighed softly she's right her and Papa aren't getting any younger than their 50s already. But if I'm going to have a wife and kids it'll be when I'm ready, I love my parents more than anything but I'm gonna take my time, meet the perfect girl and have 2 kids a boy and a girl. We'll either adopt or have a surrogate, I sighed softly as I grabbed a can of lemonade and tea from my lunch box. Today is my day off, so I decided to come to the park, not wanting to get drunk at the park like some gross slob. I grabbed a can of lemonade and tea. I opened it, then to chug the drink, sighing softly as the cold drink went down my throat. I wonder if I'll have that fairytale love like my parents did, but look, my parents' marriage wasn't perfect. They fought and argued like every normal couple did, but they never went to bed angry. My dad would always buy mom her favorite book series at the moment to make for it. And mom would always make Dad his favorite snack to make up for fighting. The one thing they never did was leave one another they would always listen to each other and talk it out. I sighed softly, remembering all the relationships I've ever had not working out, every tear I've cried. I grabbed my lunch and opened it, I made myself a homemade veggie pizza and had homemade potato fries on the side. I don't live with my parents anymore so I send to make myself healthy delicious food. I normally cook by myself at home, making meal prep meals so I won't have to worry about spending too much money. I smile to myself as I pick up the pizza and take a bite out of it, pulling back as the cheese stretches, I squeal happily, enjoying the delicious homemade pizza. "So good!". I say with a mouth full of cheesy goodness. As I eat suddenly there's a girl with pink, long flowing hair being chased by a guy. She looks out of breathe and scared out of her mind, I don't know what came over me but I jump up from my seat, leaving behind my food and jumping on my motorcycle and ride after them, the girl looks like she can't run anymore as she starts to slow down, the guy chasing after her grabs her by her waist. He grips her waist hard as she screams out, telling him to let go. He only tightens his hands around her waist before he pushes her down and gets on top of her, pinning her down. He looked down at her, talking to her. By the look on her face, she looks scared out of her mind, I quickly jump off the bike and run towards them. The guy has his hand raised and looks like he's about to slap her beautiful face, I quickly get to them before he can even try to hurt her and pull him off of her. I glared at the guy hard, he looks back at me with a scared look on his face as he should be, I'm about 5'9. I'm toned thanks to working out in the gym and my mother and father for training me to fight off creeps no matter the gender either man or woman. They trained me to protect myself, I then step in between the guy and the girl as he doesn't say a word.

"I don't know what the hell is going on her, but don't you, ever, and I mean never put your hands on her or any woman like that ever again. Because the next time I see you doing this to someone else, I won't hesitate to beat your sorry a$$. Now get the f@ck out of here before I change my mind. " I glared up at the guy. He's about 6'2, but I wasn't afraid he was going to get his a$$ beat if he didn't get out of here. His eyes widen he makes a run for the exit leaving the park like a wimp, I then turn to the pink haired lady who was trembling on the ground I kneeled down, in front of her giving her a gentle smile.

"Hey, it's okay, that asshole won't be bothering you or anyone else ever again." I tell the pink haired lady, I then stood up and helped her off of the ground. Helping her dust off any grass or dirt that may have gotten on her blue skirt, it had black hearts on it. She wore pink nail polish on her fingernails that matched her hair. She had beautiful light brown eyes as she stared into my dark grey eyes. She opened up her mouth to speak when suddenly a man who's taller and bigger than I am comes running towards us. He's panting with sweat going down his face as he stops and looks at us. "Oh miss, thank God you're okay. We got the guy who was after you. He's being sent away as we speak, come on, we've got to hurry, your father is worried. " The man doesn't spare me a glance as he grabs the pink haired lady by her hand and runs off with her. She looks back at me as if she's trying to remember what I look like, I stare back at her, my feet planted firmly on the ground. I didn't even get her name. She was beautiful with her soft pink lips, cute button nose, and pale white skin.

I sighed softly wishing I had at least gotten her name, I went back to my motorcycle and drove back to my lunch sadly by the time I had gotten back, ants had already helped themselves to my half eaten lunch. I groaned softly as I dumped it out in the trash. Luckily, I saved half of it, so I was good. I had my meals ready for lunch and dinner for tomorrow, I think I'll have overnight oats, fruit salad, and a homemade blueberry muffin made by me, of course. After I made sure no ants were in my lunch box, I got on my motorcycle, putting my helmet on my head and strapping it on. I revive up my motorcycle and drive off back home, I have no idea what in the world just happened, but in less than the time I had gotten off the phone with my mother. I had just saved a woman from a guy who was just about to hit her, I don't know why, but I felt strangely protective over her. I wish I had gotten her name, but sadly, I didn't. Maybe one day I'll see her again. Only time would tell.

8:00 pm

After I got home I did some chores around my house, I got home at around 2:30 after what happened at the park. I decided to just do some chores. I cleaned my floors, did my laundry, dusted my pictures, and made sure everything around my house was straightened up. After I did that, I took some time to finish up a book from my bookshelf, I am a bit of a bookworm myself. I love sci-fi their my favorite genre to read, I like to read in my library that I have it's full of romance, sci-fi, and adventure books. Since my parents loved to read, I also became interested in reading, growing up. My parents and I would have our own book club sometimes when I wasn't out with friends. Even my friends would sometimes join us, and my mom would make delicious treats for it, too. We would have anything sweet or savory, then afterward we would discuss the book we would read. Even when I get off to college, I would still have book club with my parents, I would find time between friends, studying, and partying to spend time with them.

My parents are the reason why I wanna find the perfect woman just for me, I don't wanna rush into anything with anyone until I know their the one. I finished up my bath and drained the water out. I had dinner earlier. I had some delicious stuffed ravioli pasta with an equally delicious Italian salad. Like I said before, I make my own food. The pasta I made for myself was made this morning. I got dressed in a plain black shirt, and PJ bottoms my hair was pulled into a ponytail after I dried it and brushed it after my bath. But I still couldn't get the pink haired lady out of my mind. She was on there since we locked eyes with each other, I sighed softly as I climbed into bed, lying down comfortably in bed. I gazed up to the ceiling, wondering if I would ever see her again, I felt my eyes start to get heavy, and I turned on my side. And give into the sleepiness, falling into a peaceful sleep.

5 weeks later.

It had been 5 weeks since I last saw the pink haired lady. Nothing has changed in my life. I went to my parents for dinner, and we had a great time. However, mom kept trying to set me up with her friends' daughters. But I refused I didn't tell them about the pink haired lady, the last thing I needed was for my parents to try to figure out who the pink haired lady was that I rescued from that creep. But they were proud of me for saving her, I thought of her a couple of times. I wondered what would happen if I ever saw her again. Maybe one day fate will allow us to see each other again. Today was my day off again. I had been working to keep myself busy, but she still found away into my mind, I was busy watching my favorite show munching on some honey roasted peanuts. When suddenly there's a knocking at my door, I got up, paused my show, and then stretched as I walked towards the door. The knocking continued as a groan escaped my lips. I open up the door seeing a group of men with matching black suits, ties, and glasses staring at me. They stare at me for quite some time before one of them opens up their mouth to speak.

"Excuse me, miss, are you Jenny Simons?". He asks me as the other men stand quietly behind him. Nodding my head as I open up my mouth speak. "Yes, I'm Jenny Simons. What can I do for you, gentlemen?". I asked, wondering how they found my address and how in the f@ck do they know my name. The man clears his throat before speaking again, shocking me. "The president would like to have a word with you, Miss Simons."
