1.Blazig Blades
Gabriel
A loud knock brings me back to reality. I'm standing on the ice of one of the largest rinks in the USA. It has always been my dream to play for the "Blazing Blades." From a young age, I would stand on the ice after school and practice for hours to make my dream come true. My parents were fine with it as long as my grades were good—if they were, I was allowed to play. No one ever thought I’d make it here, coming from a small town in Canada. But I never gave up.
I never really liked life in the village—always the same, nothing exciting, no new people. Today is my first day as a professional player. I signed the contract weeks ago, but today is the first time I’m meeting my team. I’m the new center. In other words, the central forward. Though I’ve never played in this league before, I’ve been rated as one of the best players of my generation—only one player is better.
What I now earn in a month makes me incredibly proud and happy, knowing my efforts have paid off. I can already feel the envy of the other players—just 20 years old and already having such a steep career. But we’re still a team, and hopefully, we’ll get along. Tonight is my first game, and I’ll be introduced to our fans.
