His grip on my waist tightens, fingers trail to grab my hair. He tugs on my bottom lips, earning a low moan from me. Chapter 1

Staring right back at the girl before me, I really can't believe it's me.

My deep brown eyes lookers wider than usual, my very curly mane I call hair is falling over my shoulders looking all shiny, and beautiful.

I look ravishing in my simple outfit of black high waist jeans, a white crop hoodie with my white converse.

“Zara, get your ass out here right now. You have a morning class.” my brother, Luther yells from downstairs.

Rolling my eyes, I fling my black bag over my shoulder, and march to the kitchen.

With how he treats me, one would think I am in middle school not college that I am.

Still I can't complain, I am so happy to have him. So happy that he even cares enough to know I have morning class.

He pretends not to even see me as I walk into the kitchen, I go around the counter and engulf him into a big hug kissing both his cheeks “Hey Big bro. Good morning to you too.”

He smiles, rolling his eyes he tries to tug me away, but I don't let go. I know I am stronger than him, he knows it too.

I mean I am an Arcadian plus a jaguar while he is just an Arcadian.

He sighs in defeat kissing my forehead like I want. I giggle, and bounce about. Luther chuckles at my childishness, but you can't blame me I haven't had that until I met him.

He stretches out placing my meal of bacon, eggs, sausage alongside bread with mayonnaise in front of me, wasting no time as I dig in.

Ever since I tasted the goodness called mayonnaise I have never let go neither will I ever.

“Bye Luther, don't miss me too much.” I giggle, jumping off the stool with my bag pack safely behind me.

Once I am outside our home my smile falters. I move swiftly into my car, plunging the key in as I drive off.

Life has been good to me since I met Luther, more like since he found me, his half sister. I try my best to always look happy in front of my brother.

But behind him, I so am not. That is only because of Origen Drakon, the one man that haunts me. I purposely applied to New York University when I heard Origen decided to stay back.

I wanted us to be faraway because I didn't know anyway else I could get over him, but no the idiot had transfer.

Not only that, he became the star quarterback of the NYU football team in a semester, now he has girls around him twenty four seven.

It is annoying, and it ruins my day all the damn freaking time. He goes to parties, have fun with his new found friends while I wither in the pain of not being with him.

While I agree it's my fault, it doesn't hurt less. I was the one who refused to be with him no matter how hard he tried.

That's because I know I am bad for him. I don't want to ever see him hurt, and that's all I am capable of doing.

I pull up at Weylnn’s house, Horning like a mad woman. This girl is always late. It makes me want to pull my hair out.

Weylenn Star, a girl I met on my first day. We bumped into each other, and immediately kicked off. We have been friends ever since then, and it's the second semester now.

The door slams shut as Weylenn jumps into the passenger seat, hitting her palm in the dashboard she starts screaming, “Go, go, go, bitch drive!!!”

I step on it, and drive as requested, wondering what's got her panties in a twist.

Snapping my eyes to the rear view mirror only to see a guy in boxer brief running after my car.

She takes her belly in, breathing in, and out of the as her palm flies to her forward. I eye her before asking my question, “What the hell was that?”

She waves me off, but starts speaking when I glare at her, “Just the guy I brought home last night. He wanted another round this morning, and I refused. I mean it's called one night stand for a reason.”

Yeah Weylenn is very active sexually, meets with new guys on a daily basis though she isn't a whore, she is just living her best life as she calls it.

The girl has serious commitments issue.

She blabs on and on about how unprofessional the guy is by trying to break the one night stand rule.

Weylenn talks a lot while I barely speak I guess that's why we are good friends. She talks, I listen just like Origen.

I refuse to think about him. Shaking my head, I park my car in my spot.

Lynn is out before I even park properly, one of these days she will get herself in a hospital with how careless she is.

“Come on Zara let's bounce.” she giggles, dragging me along with her to class.

We both major in veterinary. I want to be an animal doctor when I graduate it's a plus considering I am part animal.

“If it isn't twiddle dumb, and twiddle dumber.” that toe curling disgusting voice stops us again.

She makes life so much worse than it already is. I can't begin to say how much I want to spill her blood.

Meryl Stones, is the most annoying human ever. I really don't know if she thinks she is still in high school or something.

Weylnn lowers her head, her black wavy curls falling over her face. Her voice is tiny as she speaks “Hey Meryl.”

“Urgh my name sounds horrible from your mouth.” she cringes, her short blonde hair shaking along with her.

I squint my eyes at her. She is really getting on my last nerve. My voice is cold, and annoyed letting her know to piss off, “Leave her alone Meryl.”

Her black iris swings to me as she begins to taunt, “ Oh look who is talking, it's the orphan.”

I don't bother answering her because that's all she wants. Dragging Weylenn along, we head towards class until Meryl's next comment freezes me to a spot.

“No wonder your father left you. Pathetic little thing.”

She doesn't get to breathe the next second before I lunge at her, lifting her up in the air then slamming her back to a wall.

“What the fuck did you just say to me?” I growl, baring my teeth as I try to keep my jaguar in check.

“Am I wrong?” she whispers, her lips curling into a smirk as she adds, “Abomination.”

Students start screaming, but it doesn't faze me. I throw her to the floor, straddle her hips then let my fist connect with her jaw.

“You” punch “bitch” punch “shut up” punch.

“What the hell is going on here?” a voice booms, causing my fist to hang in the air.

Oh crap.
