It was early dawn in Ohio University outside of the farm fileds and dirt roads kown as the state of potatos. Yes Ohio is good to live there, if you can count of the rain muddy days, winds and tornadoes. Yep that’s the only thing that happens here in the land of dirt and potatoes. The rain drops rested on the potted plants of flowers near the window seal of he collage campus. The smell of wet grass and mud filled the air making it humid. It was bad and good smell at the same time.

Everyone is asleep in their dorm rooms trying to reat for test and exams from yesterday. Expect for one who was already awake and full of coffee in her bloodstream. Ashley was wide awake and was doing her morning routine in the kitchen making another cup of coffee and breakfast for her dormmate and friend. Ashley Jackson is a young twenty four year old college environmental science wildlife student, and ever since she was little she dreams of starting her own animal rescue center one day. Where she can heal, and teach others about nature and wildlife. She loved animals and nature ever since she was six years old and still kept that passionate fire hoing.

While her friend Karry was sleeping and getting cozy under the blankets like a butterfly in her cocoon waiting she wakes like a beautiful butterfly with her hair messy. Ashley made hot coffee and a hot breakfast of pancakes with sugary syrup with a strawberries, cause she was so happy that tomorrow will be her last day of school and graduation. And they will celebrate by going to the national historic museum. For their final day. Ashley tied her long blonde hair in a wild ponytail, she place the plate of sugary food for Karry on the table and went to wake her from her beauty sleep.

She calmly walked over at the edge of the bed and gently shakes her shoulder. “Karry wake up sleepyhead. The pancake prince is calling you.” She smiled to herself for joking around, but she and Karry were really excited for the last day here in the university of Greenville. Karry slowly sat up went she heard pancakes. Hair messy and a tired face, but when Karry realized what day it is. Eyes wide blown and a huge smile formed on her lips. “Holy shit!!! Ashley, today is the day will be finally free from the prison called college!!!!” Karry shouted and wrapped her arms around Ashley in a tight hug. She hugged her in return. “I know!” She smiled.

Karry practically ran out of the room and almost fell out of the chair. Ashley soon joined her at the table and ate breakfast with Karry as they talked about the plans for summer break. After breakfast Ashley stepped into the shower and felt the warm water hit her body from head to toe, washing away the sweat and stress from yesterday’s finales.

She sigh in relief from working on finals and her part time job at the vet but in the end it was worth it. She grabbed a towel and covered herself as she steps out, as she drys her gold hair, and washed her face. She got dressed in her dark gray tank top, blue jeans with dark brown boots along eith leather bracelets and cartilage pricings.

“Shower is free! Karry fo have your final papers for last?” Ashley shouted. “Hey! And you’rs is on your desk!” Ashley went to the small kitchen and made herself three cup of coffee, and she honestly believes that coffee was her life force in order to live. She cleans the plates and put them away, while she packs her stuff in boxes when she leaves campus to go back home. Karry was done bathing and dressed. “Girl i can not wait, till we’re out of here, and the the vacation trip yo New York city. We’ll be going wild girl mode!” Ashley smiles as she places her last belongings in the box.

“I’m more excited for the museum trip in celebration tomorrow, plus our teacher wants to give us a fun lesson with it. Trust me.” Karry pretends to boo and gave a thumbs down calling her a nerd. “Hey nerd! But will be roommates in New York when we get our dream jobs right?” Karry asked. Ashley and her promised each other that they live in the big Apple until she works in yellow stone and Karry goes to the Africa to study the Amazons She and her will be nature team to help endangered animals and environment ecosystem.

They had worked their asses off by having no sleep for it. ” Oh your dad called you last night, but i told him you were asleep.” Said Karry.

” I’ll call him later when we get done for finals.” Said Ashley. She and her dad had a good relationship, but her real mom walked out on them, when she was six and years later her mom never calls. So she and mom don’t have a good relationship. Her parents would fight of money, cause her mom would spend it on disnger clothes, and even high price food. Not to mention of DUI records of it. Ashley’s parents got a divorce, and she heard that her mom was in jail for insulting a police officer.

Her dad is CEO for marketing and remarried a kinder named Grace, and she loved right then and there. Grace is kind, supportive and understanding. Plus she was spiritual. Ashley and Karry grabbed their bags with their laptops and textbooks as they headout of their dorm rooms, and walked to class on campus grounds. Soon other students showed up in class, the whole day every student worked on the last exam for the last day, as Ashley took her time to fill in the answers on her paper.

The questions had random answers as every brain cell was dying slowly she felt that her head was on fire. She finished her test and all of the stream of stress was realse. She passed her test. Thank god finally. Karry ran up to her and hugged her tight. “Did you passed?” Ashley smiled and showed her paper that she got an A and so did Karry. “Thank God it’s over!!! Let’s go to Josh’s party tonight. He’s been asking you to come.” Karry smiled.

Ashley knew Josh liked her since freshman year, and she admit he was cute with the blue eyes and black hair. She had a boyfriend before him, but they broke up cause her ex cheated on her with another girl. But right she could careless. “Honestly i feel like a zombie right now. The only thing i want to do is take a long dirt nap. But I’ll go cause you ask nicely.” Ashley smirks as she playfully nudge Karry. She and her made it back to their dorm. Both of them collapsed on theit beds as they catch the last sleep they have until the party.

She turns her head and sees a small blue box with a white ribbon tied to it, that had a tag that said Grace on it. Ashley smiled knowing Grace was giving her a celebration gift, and she always loves the gift that Grace gives her. Ashley grabbed the small box, and grabs her phone to call her about it. She waited on the other line, until she heard her voice.

“Hi mom! It’s me!” Ashley said with a smile on her face.

“Hi sweetheart! I’ve been waiting for you to call. Did you get the present?”

“Yeah, what is it?”

Grace chuckles on the other line. “Please open it. I think you’ll like this one.
