The shy little

In the quiet village of Mtoni, nestled between rolling hills and a sparkling river, there lived a little girl named Amani. She was kind and clever, but she was also very shy. She loved to draw, dance, and sing when she was alone, but whenever others were around, she would shrink into the background like a tiny star hiding behind the moon.

At school, Amani never raised her hand, even when she knew the answer. At home, she watched her friends play, but she never joined. She wanted to, but something inside her always held her back.

One day, her teacher, Mama Zawadi, announced that there would be a school talent show. Everyone cheered excitedly, except for Amani. Her stomach twisted into nervous knots. She loved to sing, but the thought of standing in front of everyone made her feel small.

That evening, she sat by the river, watching the stars twinkle in the sky. Her grandmother sat beside her and smiled. “Do you see those stars, Amani?” she asked.

Amani nodded.

“Each of them shines in its own way. Some are big, some are small, but they all have their own light. And so do you, my dear.”

“But what if my light isn’t bright enough?” Amani whispered.

Grandmother chuckled. “Even the smallest star can light up the darkest night.”

Amani thought about those words for days. She still felt scared, but something inside her felt a little stronger. She started practicing her song, first in her room, then in front of her grandmother. Slowly, her confidence grew, little by little.

The night of the talent show arrived, and Amani’s heart pounded as she stepped onto the stage. The lights were bright, the crowd was silent, and her hands trembled. But then, she remembered the stars.

She took a deep breath and sang.

Her voice was soft at first, but as she sang, her confidence blossomed. By the time she finished, the whole room was clapping and cheering. Amani’s heart swelled with joy. She had done it!

From that day on, Amani still felt shy sometimes, but she never let it stop her again. Because she had learned that even the smallest star has a light worth shining.

The End.
