Preface

Welcome to the delightful mess that is this book. You’ve just opened a collection of stories that don’t know where they’re going, but they insist on dragging you along for the ride. Here, crickets move to polluted cities, angry girls summon spirits, and therapists named Lilo Popo casually play mind games. Logic took one look at this project and walked out.

If you’re expecting profound life lessons or poetic reflections—well, you might find those accidentally. But mostly, these stories are what happens when absurdity meets a lack of sleep. Each piece exists for the sole purpose of being as unpredictable as possible, sometimes to the point where even the characters seem confused about their own existence.

I didn’t set out to write comedy, but somehow, tragedy looked funnier when I put it on paper. This book doesn’t promise coherence, but it does guarantee a few moments where you’ll laugh, shake your head, and wonder why you’re still reading (but you will be).

So, sit back, question everything, and enjoy the chaos.
