11/7/23 (Informational)
After my last class of the day—TLEE—there was an Aspiring Educators event.
I wanted to learn more about it, so I decided to go.
I was part of Educators Rising back in high school,
so I figured this would be similar.
Besides, it counts as a special education event,
and I need to attend at least two for class.
When I got to the door, I was surprised—
a line had already formed,
and the classroom was packed.
There were almost no chairs left.
I guess we’d have to stand in the back.
As I stepped inside, Noor greeted me.
She had me sit next to her and her friend—
Katie. Or was it Kate? I think it was Katie.
We got started while waiting for the pizza.
It was way better than the one in my residence hall.
They also had water bottles,
but I didn’t need one—I had my own.
Noor gave me one anyway.
We had a chance to sign up.
If we showed her the QR code,
we could grab a T-shirt.
But I couldn’t get the link to work.
Later, they handed out T-shirts and sweatpants
to everyone, signed up or not.
I got up too late—
the only sweatpants left were XL.
Some people didn’t get any at all,
but the professor said she’d send those later.
Noor was ahead of me and helped me grab a medium T-shirt.
