Where Scarlet Bleeds - Scarlet's Diary

Summary

As some of you may know, I've recently published a book called "Never Dead". It is the first book of my very first series called "Ashes and Empires". This series has a special place in my heart as the personality of some characters are depicted as the personality of my closest friends who I eventually drifted apart from. In the very first book, the main character is Scarlet Ives, mainly known as Scarlet Sterling ever since she has been adopted. I relate and adore her so much, I've basically proposed my own character traits in her. So basically, in the story it is shown that she is a quiet and self-reserved independent girl. She mostly keeps to herself, and also she tends to write poems from time to time to express herself. The collection of poems in this is the same poems written by her. I hope you all enjoy these poems!

✨Poet's Note

For those of you who are interested in poems, this is for you all! These poems are basically a collection of poems made by Scarlet Sterling; if you don't know who she is make sure to read "Never Dead", my first book I've ever published.

Words have always been more than just letters to me—they’ve been lifelines, echoes, shields, and swords. This diary of poems is more than just a collection of verses; it’s a mirror of moments I’ve lived, dreamed, feared, or felt deeply—sometimes all at once.

In many ways, these poems are pieces of Scarlet Ives—the girl at the heart of my story Never Dead, the first book in my series Ashes and Empires. Scarlet, who also pens poems in the story, is a reflection of the battles I fight silently and the fire I carry within. Through her voice, I’ve dared to write more honestly, more vulnerably. She is fiction, yes—but she is also me. And many characters throughout this series carry fragments of the souls of those dearest to me—my closest friends. Their shadows, sparks, and scars breathe within these pages.

Every poem, every word, is an ember. Some burn, some warm, some simply flicker—but all are real.

Thank you for reading these pieces of me.

Scarlet Ives 🖤❤️
