Summary

It is said in the beginning there was man then there came words that define man & all that he experienced & felt. Which brings to questions where did the sound & concept of the word good originate? This is the story of how a man who has lived by many different names came upon one known and sounded out as Good, but yet it's concept was before his time and we soon see that the idea and/or concept of good is born out of who this individual was from the view point of another. It teaches people of all ages the power of words and perspectives, and the concepts we add on to them.

Prologue

Prologue

In the early stages of humanity the Earth was occupied by many creatures of the land, sea and air. Among these creatures few rose the ranks to claim themselves intelligent and of those few only one grew to manipulate the environment around them to such a degree that the Earth herself didn’t recognize her surface. They went about creating towns, villages, cities and other types of communities, where they lived out their lives. These beings called themselves “Humans”. Humans like the Earth, were composed of a variety of strains. Some being isolated communicated differently then others, allowing a world of words to come into existence.

In “A Man Named Good” we follow the life of a human whose name becomes a concept in the future, which is used to describe an individual’s behavior, character or actions, among many other attributes of an individual. The main character lives in a small village that is surrounded by trees and bushes of the wilderness, isolated from most of the world he lived a life full of curiosity, adventure and wonder. Until one day a stranger arrives at the village and by presence alone introduces a new and different way of living. Is the stranger the reason for the mistranslation of actions and words that we accept today as the norm? Let us take a moment to see where the word “Good” has actually come from it may surprise you.

His Forsaken Fate

Bargara4670: I have marked the ratings down because it was obviously originally written in a foreign language and translated into English. I hope that whoever edited the second half will go back and do the same to the first half. Having said that, this was a well-thought-out plot which kept me interested enough ...
