Forbidden Love in the Shadows

I stared at the certificate in my hand, the words “Illegally Married” stamped across it in bold red letters. My heart still racing from the secret ceremony, I couldn’t help but think of my oppa-loompa husband, Gimpy. We’d risked everything to be together, defying the laws that forbade our kind from marrying. As a Peeve from the wizarding world, I’d always been told I was too flawed, too imperfect for anyone to love. But Gimpy saw past my mischievous nature and loved me for who I was.

Just then, my comms device beeped. It was Tyler from 21 Pilots. “Peeve, we need you at the underground club. Charlie Rose is making a move.” I rolled my eyes. Charlie Rose, the baby mafia leader, was notorious for his ruthless tactics. But what did he want with us?

I made my way to the club, Gimpy by my side. As we entered, the dim lights and pulsating music enveloped us. Tyler, Josh, and Paul were huddled in a corner, looking worried. Charlie Rose sat on a throne-like chair, his baby face twisted into a scowl.

“You’ve been warned, Peeve,” he growled. “You’re a valuable asset to our world. Don’t think you can hide behind your little marriage forever.” I swallowed hard, Gimpy’s hand finding mine.

Just then, a commotion broke out at the bar. Shrek, the gruff ogre, stumbled in, his usual grumble replaced by a pitiful whimper. “I don’t look right,” he muttered, tugging at his clothes. I exchanged a concerned glance with Gimpy. Shrek had just gotten a BBL, and it was clear he was struggling with body dysmorphia.

“Hey, Shrek, it’s gonna be okay,” I said, trying to reassure him. But he just shook his head and lurched away, disappearing into the crowd.
