O N E
Monday again.
This shitty schedule again.
โI am so tired,โ a girl grinned, getting up from her bed.
โCome on, Ana, you can do it,โ she whispered to herself as she forced herself to stand up and go into the washroom.
Ana Rose, an 18-year-old girl, is in her last year of school. Sheโs hardworking and an average student. Sheโs beautiful, with an ideal body, but sheโs an introvert. Being an orphan forced her to be content with being alone.
She doesnโt have many friends at school. She likes to be alone, happy in her own company. But for the past four years, sheโs had the biggest crush on this one guyโKade.
Heโs walking the red carpet, but Ana? Sheโs colorblind.
Ana wrapped a bathrobe around her body before stepping out of the bathroom.
She walked over to her wardrobe and took out her navy blue school uniform.
She wore a white shirt and a navy blue skirt that reached her thighs.
She let her silky dark brown hair fall loose and applied a bit of lip tint.
She smiled at her reflection in the mirror.
โPerfect,โ she said, picking up her bag before heading out of her room.
She went to the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the shelf.
Taking a deep breath, she took a bite.
She lives alone, but sometimes... she misses her mom a lot. She was only five when her parents died in a car accident, leaving her completely alone in this hell.
She sighed, picked up her bag again, and stepped out of the house.
Ana was standing at the bus stop when suddenlyโ
โBaby!โ Mia hugged her tightly.
โMia,โ Ana said with a smile, turning to her.
โMonday sucks, right?โ Mia said with a pout.
โWithout any doubt,โ Ana replied, just as the bus arrived. โLetโs go.โ
They both got inside and headed for the seats. Ana took the window seat while Mia sat beside her.
Ana turned to Mia, who was busy on her phone.
โSo, how was your night?โ Ana asked with a smirk. Mia looked at her with wide eyes, a blush creeping onto her cheeks.
โWell...โ she whispered.
โDonโt be shy, honey. I know you stayed at his place last night.โ
โWe did itโโ Mia said, making Anaโs eyes widen as Mia blushed like crazy.
โFor real?โ Ana said in shock, and Mia nodded. โWell, yeah. We did it.โ
Ana hugged her tightly. โIโll kill him if he doesnโt treat you right.โ
Mia chuckled, hugging her back tightly.
Soon, Ana broke the hug as they continued talking.
After a while, the bus stopped, and a guy stepped on.
Ana looked at him. Her heart skipped a beat.
Mia followed her gaze and rolled her eyes. โCan you stop looking at him like that?โ
โLike what?โ Ana whispered, her eyes never leaving his figure as he moved to the back seat.
โLike you wanna eat him,โ Mia said, making Ana chuckle.
โWell, youโre not wrong,โ Ana said, winking.
โBut heโs an asshole,โ Mia rolled her eyes.
โStop. He isnโt,โ Ana defended him, though even she knew Mia wasnโt wrong.
โWhatever,โ Ana muttered, turning her head to look out the window.
โIf only I were a boy, Iโd bend you over and f*ck the shit out of you right here,โ Mia said.
Ana turned to her, eyes wide. โCan you shut the f*ck up?!โ
โDonโt be shy, baby,โ Mia smirked.
Ana rolled her eyes and mouthed,โOf course.โShe turned again, gazing outside.
After some time, Ana and Mia got off the bus and walked into the school campus.
โWhatโs the first class?โ Mia asked, still looking at her phone.
โI donโt rememberโwait, lemme check.โ Ana pulled out her school diary with her weekly timetable.
They walked with the crowd of students.
โNooo,โ Ana said in frustration.
โThe hell, nooo,โ Mia echoed.
โYes, you guessed it right. Itโs math,โ Ana said with a dead expression.
โF*ck! I forgot to do my math homework,โ Mia said, eyes wide.
โYouโre done, baby. That old hagโs gonna kill you,โ Ana chuckled.
โStop scaring me!โ Mia huffed.
โOkay fine, letโs go quickly or weโll be late.โ
Mia nodded, and they both ran for their class.
They entered the classroom, which was filled with students chatting.
Ana made her way to the back. She hated math class, so she preferred to sit at the back. Mia joined her.
โI am dead, girl,โ Mia whispered.
Ana chuckled, mouthing,โYou definitely are.โ
They started talking about random things.
Minutes passed when suddenlyโ
The door opened, grabbing everyoneโs attention.
Their principal was standing at the entrance. Everyone quickly rushed to their seats.
Now there was pin-drop silence.
He stepped inside.
โDonโt tell me the old guy diedโโ Mia whispered, but Ana interrupted, โShut the f*ck up, Mia.โ
โAs you all know, Mr. Smith used to take your math classes,โ the principal began.
โBut from now on, he wonโt be taking your class.โ Everyone was shocked.
Wtf...Ana thought.
No matter how bad Mr. Smith was, he was still one of the best professors in the school.
โYour new professor will arrive soon. Make sure you behave,โ the principal said before turning and leaving. Everyone let out a breath of relief.
โIโve never been this happy.โ
โI know right?! Itโs so good they kicked him out.โ
โFor real, he was an asshole.โ
Everyone started gossiping. They were thrilled to know Mr. Smith wouldnโt be teaching them anymore.
โIโm Godโs favorite child, itโs confirmed now,โ Mia grinned.
โDefinitely,โ Ana chuckled, sitting down.
Ana looked to her leftโhe was sitting there.
Kade.
โHeโs looking so hot today,โ Ana whispered as she stared at him. Mia rolled her eyes.
โYouโre blind, honey. Trust me.โ
โTsk. Shut the f*ck up,โ Ana muttered, still staring.
He was probably flirting with a girl, but that didnโt stop Ana from finding him hot as f*ck.
The class was chaoticโeveryone gossiping like there was no tomorrowโwhen suddenly,
The door creaked open.
And just like thatโtime stopped.
A guy stepped in. Not like a man walking into a room, but like a storm gliding over calm waters.
The young man was tall, dangerously handsome, dressed in a fitted black shirt tucked into tailored slacks that did sinful things to his lean frame.
His sleeves were rolled just enough to show off strong, veined forearms and a silver watch that gleamed every time it caught the light. A low murmur passed through the class, but it died as quickly as it roseโsilenced by the quiet authority of his presence.
His dark hair was perfectly tousled, like heโd just run his fingers through it after driving with the windows down. Sharp jawline, high cheekbones, and those eyesโ
God, those eyes. Smoky, unreadable, and piercingโlike they could see through lies and straight into your soul.
Every girl in the room felt the air thicken, breath hitch, heart pounding like a drumline. He placed a leather-bound notebook on the desk and looked up with a crooked smirk that could resurrect the dead.
And thenโhe spoke.
โGood morning,โ he said, his voice low and smooth, like velvet laced with sin. โIโm your new professor, Lucian Draven. Letโs make this year... unforgettable.โ
Chairs squeaked. Throats cleared. But every girl sat a little straighter, eyes wide, cheeks flushedโalready imagining what it would be like to hear that voice whisper something
not-so-academicin her ear.
He wasnโt just a professor. He was a walking daydream. A forbidden thrill wrapped in intellect and danger. And in that moment, every heart in that room belonged to himโwhether he knew it or not.
โHOLY MOLYโโ Mia whisper-shouted, glancing at Ana, only to find her already wide-eyed.
โDudeโโ Mia whispered again.
โDonโt tell me this hot guy is gonna teach us math,โ Mia said, still in disbelief.
โI guess so...โ Ana said, her eyes drifting back to himโand her heart skipped a beat whenโ
She found him staring directly into her eyes. She gulped and looked away, unable to hold his gaze.
โAlright, letโs start the class,โ he said, picking up the book in his hand. โChapter 6. Page 108. Trigonometry.โ
He began the lecture while, in the backโ
โDude, heโs too hot to teach math,โ Mia whispered, frustrated.
โFor real... this is gonna be insane,โ Ana whispered back as she tried to focus on the lecture.
