Chapter 1 A bad ending but a good start.
“You should try other subjects if this is not working for you.”
Lina said with her gaze still observing the back of the course book. Lina and Aria were on their way home from college in a bus. It was sunny outside with no sight of rainy clouds which kind of cheered up Aria because she had started to feel a bit depressed from the lack of sunlight. It was a blessing to see such a lovely day.
“I’m sure that it would not turn out to be that bad.”
Aria smiled a little after answering and Lina just nodded. Lina had dark hair and bright blue eyes, something which still fascinated Aria who has short blonde hair and dark eyes. The truth was that Lina’s appearance was what made Aria want to go talk to her and that is how they first officially met. While Lina knew all the talk they shared at their first meeting, Aria was only focusing on how many times Lina blinked, looked away and tried to smile. What happened afterward was just fate acting up. They started sharing books and pens. At one point Lina defended Aria against a couple of students and that is when it became official that Lina and Aria will be best friends for a long time. Lina went into deep thought and Aria got to know that because Lina was frowning a little.
“Are you good?’’
At Aria’s question, Lina let out a sigh, dropped her head and asked:
“Is it that obvious?”
To that Aria quickly nodded and Lina continued:
“It is just that I’m receiving these warning signals and it feels like something is gonna go terribly wrong.”
There was a small pause between them. Lina was in fact gifted with a strong sixth sense while Aria was not much of a believer.
“I’m sure that it is just the stress of the studies. You know that our mind can cross limits when it comes to dealing with stress.”
Aria explained to which Lina just stayed silent. Lina knew that it was not quite possible to make people believe about energies, spirits, time shifts without sounding like an extremist. The bus came to a stop and it was time for Aria to get off. Aria turned to Lina and said:
“If you feel like that at home too then message me and I can come over to your place.”
Lina wanted to say something but she changed her mind and just nodded. Aria didn’t push her best friend any further and left the bus not before waving at Lina enthusiastically. Aria went near her small old house. It could be unbelievable sometimes that
Aria entered her home and changed her shoes with the slippers at the entrance. Aria was grateful that her mother was able to get the house even though it seemed nearly impossible to achieve. A minute later Aria was at the kitchen table and was watching her mother sort through her stuff. Aria smiled unconsciously.
“Did you know that just today I was able to talk to Eliz. I cannot believe she is still as stubborn as before.”
Aria froze, panic went through her and within seconds she was unable to move. Her mother saw her state and worry filled her up. Susan quickly shook Aria by her shoulder. With that, Aria became aware of where she was and asked.
“Eliz who?”
Aria’s brain had started to shut down by now. Susan responded, still looking really worried for Aria.
“Elizabeth Kai ,my sister. Don’t do this Aria. You know her as good as me.”
Elizabeth Kai was a witch but for everyone else she was the woman who was a genius scientist. Interviewers fought to get her first interview after her first invention. Then came the second and third which practically made her a celebrity. Social media also hyped up her name. But didn’t Aria kill Elizabeth Kai?

Oh, we came to the point instantly. Cool! I am interested why did she kil her at the first place🫣
