"It was an interesting read with Greek Mythology as a basis. However, I felt as if the characters were shallow with no depth to them. Several were introduced and rarely was there anything relayed other than basic information and idle interactions. Zoey and Ginger felt like background characters compared to Elei, Amanda and Helen. While Helen was the most described character, not much is actually told about her perse. Most of it is just background information and a mixed signaled character setting. She was originally described as a shy girl but all of a sudden she wants attention and is jealous of Amanda. The reason for their fight seemed kind of out of her setting as though it was simply used to ditch Amanda for a couple of chapters. The story also felt rushed or too fast-paced especially towards the end, things just happen and I, a reader am dragged along with Helen, just as confused. The romance for me felt like it was just flung in as the author wanted Helen to end up with someone other than Amanda for her to fit perfectly with the whole "jealousy her own undoing" thing backed by a one-sided crush. I thought there was slight hope for her until she was flat-out rejected with all the blushing going on. It may be due to my lack of knowledge in Greek Mythology but at times keeping track of the names of the different characters was confusing, to say the least. Overall, I think it is based on a wonderful story concept that would be even better if things were just fleshed out a bit more."
