Chapter 1 : THE WEIGHT I CARRY

📖 The Secret Life of Me

Introduction :

Hii, I’m Shaik Faisal.

Honestly, I never wanted to write about my life. I’ve always been the kind of person who keeps his thoughts, feelings, and struggles buried inside. I hide behind laughter, casual talks, and social media posts—never letting the world see what storms I’m really carrying.

But one of my closest friend told me, “Faisal Bro, you can’t keep it all locked away forever. Write it down. Maybe someone who feels the same will find strength in your words.”

Every story has two versions—the one we show the world, and the one we keep locked inside us.

This book is not about perfect lives, happy families, or loyal friendships.

This is about the cracks, the scars, and the truths nobody dares to say out loud.

I never asked for this life, yet it chose me. From the outside, I might look ordinary—someone who laughs at jokes, posts pictures on social media, and walks through life like everyone else. But behind my eyes lives a storm, and behind my smile hides a truth too heavy to carry alone.

This is not just my story.

This is the story of every soul who has ever felt ignored in a crowded room, betrayed by friends they trusted, or silenced by the people who should have loved them the most.

If you’ve ever felt invisible, if you’ve ever cried in silence, if you’ve ever wondered why life hurts more than it heals—then maybe, in these pages, you will find pieces of yourself.

This is The Secret Life of Me—a life lived in shadows, yet screaming for light.

Chapter 1 – The Weight I Carry

By Shaik Faisal…

_______________________

There are certain weights in life that no one can see, but only the one who carries them can feel. I walk, I smile, I talk like everything is normal, but behind my silence there is a storm no one understands. The weight I carry is not on my shoulders alone—it is inside my chest, buried deep in my heart, pressing down on my soul every single day.

When people see me, they assume my life is ordinary, that I am just another person passing through the streets, sitting in gatherings, laughing in conversations. But what they don’t see is that every laugh hides a tear, every silence hides a thousand words, and every breath carries an invisible burden.

The weight I carry is made of many things—expectations from family, betrayal from friends, heartbreak in love, loneliness in crowds, and dreams that never got the chance to breathe. Each of these pieces has shaped me into the person I am today, and yet, each of them has taken something away from me.

I often wonder why life chose me for this heaviness. Maybe it is because I was born sensitive, someone who feels too deeply, someone who listens to words but also to silences. I carry the weight of broken promises, of words that cut sharper than knives, of being misunderstood again and again. I carry the weight of being judged for things I never did, of being blamed when I was innocent, of being invisible when I needed someone to see me.

Sometimes at night, when the world is quiet, I feel that weight the most. The walls of my room know my pain. The ceiling above me has watched me countless times, staring into nothing, wishing for a different life, a different ending. I whisper prayers, not for riches, not for fame, but just for peace—peace inside my chest, peace inside my restless mind.

This weight is heavy, but it has also made me strong. I have learned to walk even when my legs shake. I have learned to smile even when my heart bleeds. I have learned to stay alive even when everything inside me screams to give up. That is the irony of life—sometimes the ones who carry the heaviest burdens are the ones who look the strongest from the outside.

People may never understand my weight. They will only see what I allow them to see. But deep down, I know the truth. I am carrying stories that no one has heard, scars that no one has seen, and battles that no one has fought except me.

This is the weight I carry. Not visible to the world, but heavy enough to crush me. And yet, I rise every day, I move forward every day, because somewhere inside me there is still a voice whispering: “Don’t give up, Faisal. You are more than this pain. You are more than this weight.”

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
