Chapter 1- The stars collide

Long ago, as Earth was beginning to sprout life, two stars fell from the sky and collided while plummeting to Earth. These stars became Yin & Yang, two siblings of the unknown. But the day these stars hit the Earth, life was anything but normal. As life on Earth continued these two siblings worked together to balance the earth, but as they helped the world, their enemies grew in numbers causing them to go into hiding and recruiting mortals to help in their places. As the number of Gods grew in size, so did their power.

Yin stood before the gods, her voice chilling and calm as she spoke, "You've all been selected to help keep Earth in balance. Yang will announce your new titles." Yin said before stepping aside for Yang to stand next to her, as he began giving titles. Shadow stepped forward, his dark eyes calm and voice rough as he accepted his title as the god of death. Soul bowed respectfully, his shoulder-length hair falling in his face as he took in the title as god of the forgotten. Voxy smiles gently, her fiery hair swishing gently as she nods, taking in the new responsibility as the goddess of nature. Rosie tilted her head up in acknowledgment as she was given the role of heartbreak goddess. Norman smiled brightly and lowered his head in respect, his majestic Seraph wings folding gently behind him as he was labeled the God of love. Ema smiled, her red eyes gleaming with satisfaction as she is now the goddess of the in-between. Leo and Lina looked at each other as they became the God & Goddess of balance, still together forever.

Yin & Yang walked to each new god, gifting them powers to match the titles given along with slightly altered appearances that match their roles. After each God is given their powers, they all take an oath ready to protect the world for millennials to come.

Centuries passed as these gods worked together to protect the world, some formed bonds but others created rivalries. Until one unfortunate day, the oath was broken. Ema went rogue and killed an innocent mortal, but before Yin could strip Ema of her powers Ema fled, going completely off the grid, vanishing for centuries.

Bargara4670: I have marked the ratings down because it was obviously originally written in a foreign language and translated into English. I hope that whoever edited the second half will go back and do the same to the first half. Having said that, this was a well-thought-out plot which kept me interested enough ...

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
