Chapter 1

Natalie was sitting at the computer, totally absorbed in this document she’d stumbled across. Normally, she might’ve just scrolled past it, but the file name caught her eye—“My Mother, My Lover.” Curiosity got the best of her. It was a PDF, hidden in plain sight among all the shortcuts on the desktop. There were so many icons now that finding anything took forever. Honestly, it’d be quicker to just go through the program list.

Her eyes skimmed past it at first, then snapped back as her brain registered the title. What the hell was this? She opened it and saw it was a story. Before she knew it, she’d forgotten what she was originally doing and started reading.

It took her about half an hour to finish—just twenty-five pages—and by the end, she felt breathless. And if she was being honest with herself, a little turned on. The story was about a mother and son, full-on incest stuff, with graphic sex scenes. It was seriously erotic. Her body reacted to the words, making her feel all hot and bothered. But how did this thing even get here?

This computer was shared—mostly by her, but her husband, son Sam, and daughter Penny used it sometimes too. They all had laptops, but the kids would hop on this one for big assignments because of the bigger screen. Natalie wondered who’d left the file. Her husband? Unlikely—he barely touched this thing, only when he needed to print work stuff for his college lectures. Penny? Why would her daughter read a story about a mother and son? That left Sam. Was it him? On impulse, she checked the browser history. Clean. Nothing weird there.

She closed the file and got back to work, pushing it out of her mind. Until a couple weeks later, when she spotted a new file: “My Mother Seduced Me.” Right there on the desktop.

The story was similar to the last one, but this time the mom was the one chasing her son. Again, Natalie got all worked up reading it. She really wanted to go rub one out, but with everyone home, no chance.

She’d been married twenty years. At first, everything was perfect, but now? Life felt boring. Her husband Geoff seemed to have lost interest ages ago—they barely had sex anymore. Sometimes she wondered if he was cheating. Sam was nineteen, at a different college than where his dad taught—he’d refused to go anywhere near his father’s campus. Penny was still in high school, finishing her exams, hoping to join Sam at college soon.

Natalie had no clue who was leaving these stories. The problem was, she never noticed the files until after someone else had used the computer. For the next few weeks, she tried keeping track of who used it and checking daily for new stories. But she was busy managing a charity shop and kept forgetting. At least two family members would hop on before she remembered.

It didn’t freak her out too much—teenagers read weird stuff, right? She just couldn’t figure out why they’d do it on the shared computer instead of their laptops.
