Mr. Iceberg

"Hannah. You look so beautiful." Hannah's mother compliments her. "I can't believe my daughter is getting married today." Her eyes wells up as she gets emotional.

"Mom." Hannah places her hand on her mother's hand.

"Sorry." She wipes her tears. "I'm proud of you." She places a kiss on her crown. "I know its going to be difficult but I know Leo is the right choice. He will take good care of you."

"Thanks mom." Hannah says. Honestly, Hannah is a nervous well at the moment. She can't think straight. Her heads been spinning wildly. After all, it's her wedding. Wedding can be a lot.

"Oh my God!!!!" Sarah stunned when she entered the room and saw Hannah. "My. My. You look so dazzling."

Following her, Vanessa, Elisa and Avalin enter the room. They compliment her, "You look so pretty." "So beautiful."

"Stop it guys." Hannah blushes, she was all shy hearing the compliments. "I'm not the only glowing. Look at her." Hannah pointed at Avalin, who just returned back from her honeymoon.

"She is on the other level." Sarah placed her hand on Avalin's shoulder. "She's in her honeymoon phase. She is glowing in Adam's love."

Vanessa, Elisa nod in agreement, "The love glow."

Avalin's cheek turned red, blushing. "Stop it guys."

"Tell me something" Sarah leans closer to Avalin's ear, "Is he good?"

Avalin face reddens like tomato. "Sarah." She nuzzle her, earning laugh from other.

"Just wanted to know." Sarah teases her. "Judging by your glow, I think he is great."

"Sarah." Avalin shuts her mouth by putting hand over her. "It's not my day." She tried to change the topic. "So. Nervous?" She ask Hannah who was enjoying the teasing.

"A lot." Hannah answers. "I finally understand how you felt on your wedding."

Avalin chuckles, "It's going to be alright." She pats hers shoulder. "Trust me."

Hannah smiles in relief when she got assured by her friend. She knows they are here for her. "Thank you."

There's a knock on the door, Adam open the door and peak inside. "Hey."

"Seriously? You can't leave her for a second." Sarah whines.

Adam ignores her, "You look amazing." He say to Hannah. "My friend would definitely faint seeing you." He confess. "Just make sure he doesn't faint. It would be bad to faint on his own wedding." The girls think Adam is joking, they laugh. "But... judging his condition...I'm sure he'll faint. You know, he is totally a nervous ball right now." This shocked the girls, especially Hannah. She couldn't believe Leo getting nervous.

"Are you telling Leo is getting nervous?" Hannah stunned. "Are you joking here?"

"What you don't believe me?" Adam, a bit, offended. "He's been pacing back-forth in his room. Seeing him walk, my head is spinning. That why I sneak out." He look at his love, Avalin, "He is more nervous than I was on our wedding. I'm sure he'll faint. Maybe I should keep an ambulance on stand-by."

"Is he that nervous?" Hannah ask again.

"He is. I think He might get an attack if he doesn't calm down."

"Don't talk ill." Avalin nuzzle him.

"Why?" Hannah has a questionable expression on her face.

"Why? I mean I can understand what he's going through. I felt the same. But this man is extreme. After all, he is marrying the person he love."

This statement baffled everyone on the room. "WHAT???!!!" They yell.

"What is so shocking?" Adam ask casually, as if he didn't just drop the bomb. "Fuck!!!" He realised that he just revealed his friend's deepest secret.

"Did you said Leo love Hannah?" Sarah's voice louder than usual.

"Yeah." Adam shrug his shoulder casually, now that he revealed it, there's nothing he can do to cover it. Like the tea is spilled. Let spill everything. "He is in love with her for many years. That's why he asked her parents permission to marry her."

Hannah was so so shocked that she becomes numb. She couldn't process it. "When? How? Why?" Thousands questions arises in her mind.

"I know Leo isn't good in expressing himself. He can be pain in ass. Sometimes." Adam spoke. "But, trust me. He really, really loves you."

"Why didn't he ever told me?" Hannah questions, "We've been engaged for 4 years. He could've told me."

"As I told, he isn't great at expressing. He get insecure." Adam answer. "Just give him time. One day, he will definitely say it."

"A guy like Leo can get insecure?" Sarah couldn't believe.

"Why can't he? Just because he is guy, it doesn't mean he won't get insecure?" Adam states, "He grew up without his parents. His whole family died one by one. He was alone. Of course, he would be cautious." He answer in a matter of fact tone. "I'm not defending him or anything. I just don't want you to misunderstand him. Cause I know he won't tell you. You will feel its unfair for you. There will be difference between you." He explains to Hannah, "I'm just helping my friend, to convey his emotions which he never expresses. I'm over-stepping. Even interfering in your matter. But, its the least I can do. Just don't misunderstand Leo." The later sentence was a plead from Leo's family like friend.

Hannah nods, "Thank you for telling me otherwise I wouldn't have known." She knows the reason why Leo wanted to marry her. Though, she isn't convince about Leo have feeling for her. If its true, why didn't Leo told her. He could have at mentioned it at least once in these 4 years. Why didn't he? Why is he scared to express himself? Is he so insecure?

"As Leo's brother, I only have one request." Adam sounded serious and sincere, "Just be with him. Don't leave him. He won't be able to handle it." His eye were very serious.

Hannah nods.

"Thanks." He sigh in relief. "I think its time for the ceremony." He check time in his watch. "I've to go." He says and kiss Avalin on her cheek before leaving the room.

"That was quite a revelation." Vanessa comments.

"Does it answer your question?" Avalin asked me. Bullseye. She knows what I'm thinking.

"I don't know how to take it." Hannah express. "It came like a high tide wave. Sweeping me. I don't know how to react about it."

"I understand." Avalin side hugs her, "It happened with me on the wedding. It was so confusing. I felt the same."

"How did you choose? How do you know choosing Adam was the right decision for you?" Hannah question.

"I also want to know." Sarah says.

"So, do we." Vanessa say, Elisa agree.

"Adam have always been nice to me. Kind to me. He helped me when no one was ready to help." Avalin spoke. "When Michael confessed and Adam asked me to choose. That moment all I could think was about Adam. He was the first one who came in my mind. That when I knew Adam means a lot to me." Avalin smile when she think about her love, "Plus, you all have seen us from being strangers to husband and wife. You have seen it all."

"Wasn't it uncomfortable?" Hannah questions, "Like getting engaged to a total stranger?"

"It was at the beginning." Avalin answered her question with patience, she knows how contemplated Hannah is feeling right now. "It was Adam's effort to made me comfortable and feel safe around him. It slowly made me open up. We became friends, which made it easier for us." She place her hands on Hannah's shoulders, "It would be tough in the beginning. You both have to put efforts in this relationship."

"It won't be difficult." Vanessa says. "You and Leo know each other since you were kids."

"That's right."
