Poem : Let Them Try 🥀

They told me love was soft like roses…

But mine had thorns hidden beneath the bloom 🥀.

I entered love with trembling hands,

Hoping for forever,

Never knowing forever can lie too.

People say “Love heals,”

But love was the first wound I ever bled from.

Let them try to love me now 💔—

They’ll only find ruins of the girl I used to be.

---

I opened my heart like a window,

Letting in the gentle breeze of promises ✨.

Their eyes sparkled with stories of tomorrow,

But tomorrow betrayed us both 🌫️.

They held my hand like they’d never let go,

And I trusted that lie more than truth itself.

“Some hearts promise eternity… while planning their exit.”

Let them try to care 🖤—

Their words were shallow long before their goodbyes were spoken.

---

Love didn’t break in one moment.

It cracked slowly

Like glass under too much weight.

Smiles faded,

Calls grew colder,

Silence settled in like winter ❄️.

I gave parts of myself

To someone who never stayed long enough

To know their worth.

“The saddest goodbyes are the ones said without a single word.”

Let them try to hold my heart 💔—

It’s already dust between their fingers.

---

One quiet evening, love simply stopped breathing.

No storm.

No fight.

Just a soft ending that felt louder than betrayal.

They walked away like I was a chapter,

While they were my whole story 📖💔.

The pain didn’t shout —

It whispered,

And whispers hurt more.

“Sometimes the person you’d die for is the one who leaves you to drown.”

Let them try to return 🔙—

My doors are locked, my soul shut, my trust buried deep.

---

Nights became longer than the truth.

I searched for myself

In the shattered reflections they left behind 🌑.

I prayed.

I cried.

I tried to breathe without breaking.

But healing doesn’t come fast

When memories feel sharper than knives.

Let them try to stay 🚪—

I vanish before they reach me.

---

There are truths love taught me:

Love doesn’t always stay.

Love doesn’t always heal.

Love doesn’t always choose you.

Sometimes love is nothing but a lesson—

And lessons tear you apart before they fix anything.

“The heart doesn’t break once;

it breaks every time you remember.”

Let them try to fix the past ⏳—

Some ruins are meant to remain ruins.

---

They call my name now,

But it echoes in places

I don’t belong to anymore.

Pain rewrote me.

Silence aged me.

Distance saved me.

Let them try to reach me ✋—

I’m not miles away;

I’m worlds away.

They’ll try to love me again 💔,

But they will find no doorway,

No light,

No heartbeat waiting for them.

Because I am gone—

Gone from the love that broke me,

Gone from the promises that lied,

Gone from everything except myself 🌙.

“Sometimes disappearing is the only way to survive.”

---

Let them try…

But love doesn’t return

To the place where it died.

And I—

I’m learning to live

Without the heart they shattered 🖤.
