breakups [phenomaman x reader]
"You seem to be in distress, perhaps you need some assistance?" You don't bat an eye at the person that joins you. Your eyes stare straight ahead as your fingertips freeze surroundings bits of the billboard beneath you. "I'm fine." You muttered, giving him a hint that you wanted to be left alone. Phenomaman doesn't take the hint right away and takes a seat beside you, a little too close for comfort.
Not that he understood personal boundaries that well anyways. "According to my understanding about human emotions, 'I'm fine' means that you are indeed, not fine. You are supressing your true feelings." Your teammate uses his fingers to quote the words 'I'm fine', leading you to groan. "Why is that?"
You wipe your hand down your face, growing visibly annoyed by captain obvious. "I'm still going through a break up."

"Well, no." Phenomaman was taken aback by how distant and closed off you were, compared to his own depressive and unmotivated state after his separation with Blond Blazer."Your absence is...felt. It is concerning to me." He admits, looking at you with a curious glint in his eyes.
"Well...Thanks." At least someone cared enough to search for you out here. Your co-workers all cared for you, but they respected your decision of space. Phenomaman—well not so much.
