Chapter 1
A women, no older than 20, had been walking with some close friends of herโs just arriving at a bar located in the middle of Musutafu, Japan. The line was long, with lights from inside the bar and what seemed to be a mix of a gambling ring flashing multiple colors at once. The bouncer at the front broad and tall with a slick black suit, stood unshaken at the front of the doors, checking ID cards of everyone who walks in.
The young Women was definitely dolled up. Black sleek dress that was slit perfectly just at the curve of her thigh. Off shoulder and sleeveless. Makeup done along that was accustomed to her darker green eyes, with long brown hair perfectly made in a bun, with two face framing pieces of her face. Golden neck choker that paired well with her lighter skin. You wouldnโt expect less from a daughter of a Mafia leader
Danielle Chandler, daughter of Isiah Chandler. Isiah is a stronger mafia man. Yet, he goes by the older traditions. Wives, are house maids and are used to clean, cook, and baby machines. When Isiah had met his wife, Valentina Galeana, there was no option but to marry her of course. She was meant to marry him for the benefits of the families on both sides. No spark of passion, just sex, money, and power.
Danielle was soon to have the same destiny of life, to be a house wife and to marry a man her father picks to have children to continue this generation of power. Her being her age, itโs nearly time for her to meet her husband and for her father to set the man of his choice.
But tonight, was her night. She walked with a few other girls she knew that already had husbands. From that you could say sheโs the youngest of the group. A older woman in a dark green dress that draped across the floor matching with her rectangular body type, long strawberry brown hair and a cold stern stare with mint green eyes, her name was Rosalina Roblebo. Two identical female siblings named, Naomi and Maria Tetsu, both have dark brown hair and dark hazel eyes, Naomi wearing a dark midnight blue dress, a tight fit along her curvier body type her brown hair waved around her shoulders. Maria wearing a brighter pink dress with a white fluffy jacket that reached to her lower back matching with her hourglass figure.
โ You know I hate walking in heels, we couldโve taken a car here!โ Whined Naomi. While Maria agreed. The two are the oldest of the group pushing onto their 30โs already, ironic how they both whine and complain the most out of everyone else.
โ Thatโs the fifth fucking time youโve mentioned it. Weโre here arenโt we.โ Rosalina, or Rosie as the others like to call her, snapped at the two children for women. Sheโs always had a shorter temper and more stern demeanor, like the mother hen of the group.
The two twins gasp, โ You canโt curse our father said itโs not lady-like!โ Maria exclaimed as if sheโs never heard such words from a ladies mouth.
Though, Rosie only rolled her eyes out of irritation at the twoโs more air headed antics. Theyโre sweet girls just, not the brightest in the head. Danielle watched with a hint of a soft laugh at the display as they walked through the V.I.P line of the club. The bouncer only had to take a glance before he let them through opening the doors for them. Not surprising, their popularity is something unmatched after all. Immediately, the flashing lights hit her eyes causing her to blink a few times to adjust to the scene. The smell of sex and alcohol with a hint of sweat filled her nose. A scent sheโs grown used to.
As she walked in the other three girls followed behind. Being the youngest doesnโt mean she isnโt in charge of this group of females. Her father was at the top ranks of Mafia leaders. She walked with her normal purpose and catwalk in each step. Sitting down at the bar crossing one leg over her knee properly. Maria and Naomi started bickering over a barstool before Rosie plopped herself down on the stool they wanted with a harsh glare to them both. Which they both immediately scurried like mice and sat in seats next to her.
The bar had people dancing, more so a grind, and people playing cards and pool in the corners. Then of course couples or even some that are to drunk to car, walking into the booths for you already know what. The bar tender behind was a lovely lady who normally tends here.
โ Would you ladies like the usual?โ The bar tender yelled over the loud music that seemed to make the whole bar vibrate with noise. When all the ladies nod with a simple, โyesโ or even a soft grunt. The bar tender left to tend to their drinks. As she watched the bar scene before her, she was suddenly snapped out her staring as she felt Rosie nudge her ribcage with her elbow gently.
โ You should try to have fun, you know mingle with some guys before your someone elseโs. โ Rosie started at her with both a motherly gaze and something close to concern. Soon, she wonโt be able to come to bars as often or do as she pleases because she will be married to a man she doesnโt even know. Her father always had terrible taste in fashion, so why would he have any taste in men? Especially for her. Sheโs never been in a relationship nor has she even had anyone catch her eye. Sheโs hard to please anyway.
She exhaled a heavy sigh after a deep breath, โ I donโt know, maybe. But, I may just stick here like I usually do and just have a few drinks.โ She answered with her normal light tone thatโs loud enough for Rosie to hear over the music.
Rosie nods, โ Well- if you ever change your mind on having fun Iโll be out dancing and just meet up with me. But, I promise this wonโt be your last fun night okay.โ Thatโs all Rosie said before she got up and moved to the dancing area. How easy for her to say, her husband treats her like a queen because theyโve actually fallen in love with each other chi other. Itโs a complicated enemies to lovers thing straight out a fairy tale. Naomi and Maria glanced at her before they mumble excuses to go off and find some random guy to flirt with. They share a husband and their oblivious half the time. So seeing them cheat on their so called โhusbandโ wasnโt out of the ordinary. She never tried to stop them not like it was actually love anyway.
She watched them go as she slowly spun in the bar stool crossing her arms over the marble counter her hand coming up to allow her to rest her chin on her palm. โ Whereโd your friends go?โ The familiar voice of the bartender spoke up. This happens often, only because sheโd rather stay inside her room curled up with her phone while she doom-scrolled all day. She only halfway shrugged her shoulders as the bartender slid the drink down in front of her. Only shaking her head before walking away to tend to a couple that had walked up.
She used the small thin black straw to mix the drink mindlessly out of pure boredom. What else was there to do? Sheโs always been more of aโฆ innocent girl. Sheโs not a virgin, only because sheโs been drunk a few good times, but she hasnโt donโt anything purposefully or had she done anything wrong in her life. So why would she do something like rail a random guy she finds here or even anywhere. But then again- this could be the last time she can ever go out on her own before she has some random mafia kid of a husband controlling her every decision.
so maybe she may let herself go tonight.
She let out a heavier sigh than the first as she wolfed down the drink before she slid off the seat. Sheโll just use the bathroom to relive herself real quick and maybe try to find a guy. She walked through the center of the bar area- people knocking into her nearly making her stumble. But she held up- sheโs done it enough times already to know how to stand upright when shoved. She pushed through and just was she reached the bathroom doors at the back of the bar- a man coming from the back doors of the bar that lead to an alleyway knocked into her.
When she looked up-
She saw a taller man.
He had scars on his jaw and staples that were either piercings or medical. But she didnโt stare long before her emerald eyes met with his cyan teal eyes. His gaze was unwavering and unforgiving. โ What? Like what youโre seeing.โ It wasnโt a question more so a statement. His voice was deep enough to send a shiver down her spine. He didnโt seem dressed up for a bar-more like he was passing through if anything. Darker jacket over a white t-shirt with dark jeans.
โ Ah- sorry sir. Just passing.โ She finally was able to speak through the sudden knot in her throat. She watched as the guy gave her a slight smirk in return as he brushed his shoulder to walk past her. She glanced over her shoulder to watch him leave into the crowd of people. Who was that guy? He didnโt seem like any average person of Japan. Whatโs with the scars and the more of a tease? and why did he leave her kinda speechless and wondering more about him? How did a guy she just saw and seems to have little to no interest in her be the one to leave a knot in her throat?
She wanted to know more. She needed to know more- if anything curiosity always got the better of her head. She slowly turned as her heels clicked against the floor following behind where the crowd had parted for the man. They seemed to recognize him- so why didnโt she? And why didnโt he recognize her? โ Hey wait-โ she managed to call out to him over the music. But that was right before a man with dirty blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes and a flashy and charming grin on his face had grabbed her wrist to get her attention. Definitely some sort of ladies man that wanted to have some fun with someone tonight.
Itโs clear the man grabbing her wrist was interested in her, and though she decided she was going to enjoy her night and try to at least either have sex or just toy around with someone as recommended by Rosalina, but she wanted- no needed to know more about the scarred man. The man who had caught her interest immediately when all he did was walk in through the doors. The only man sheโs ever been curious about and wanted to talk with. The only guy she has seen that brushed past her like he didnโt even know her name or what family she had came from. She needed to know-
who the hell that man was.
