Prologue

Humanity once believed the cosmos was vast and empty, a lonely void surrounding our blue marble. We were wrong. Existence is not a single thread, but a cosmic web connecting four distinct planets.

There is Terria, the world of humanity. Orbitting in the brilliant upper reaches lies Titan, a planet of blinding luminance and winged beings whose ancient spacefaring birthed our religions; to us, they were Seraphim and Gods. Spinning in a neighboring orbit is Mythios, a wild, verdant globe where biology defies logic—the home of dragons, elves, and the creatures of folklore. And lurking in the darkest depths of the system rotates Gehenna, the shadow world, the planetary realm of the demonic.

A century ago, the Great Rift tore open the fabric of space separating these worlds. The planets did not merge, but the void between them was bridged. Violent tears and shimmering gateways opened across the sky, allowing beings to traverse the cosmic distance in an instant. The myths of old did not descend from the heavens or rise from hell; they simply stepped through the portals.

While the seraphs of Titan withdrew to their high peaks, looking down on the chaos with indifferent eyes, the beings of Mythios and Terria formed a fragile alliance. An uneasy kinship bloomed, though purists on both sides spat at the mixing of blood and culture. But unity was not a choice; it was a necessity. Since the Rift opened the ways, Gehenna has hungered. Its demon hordes poured through the gates, reducing civilization to a feeding ground.

Desperation breeds innovation. The Elves of Mythios gifted humanity the arcane arts, training the first order of Sorcerers. In turn, the reclusive masters of Titan revealed the secret of Ki—the vital energy humming within every soul. Those sensitive enough to ignite this internal fire became Guardians, warriors capable of weaponizing their very life force.

For fifty years, Sorcerers and Guardians held the line, but the tide of darkness flowing from the enemy world was relentless. Then, she arrived.

Lunaclipseia.

She was not merely a Guardian; she was a force of nature. Her Ki did not just destroy; it mended broken bodies and emboldened the weak. She was the apex, powerful enough to vaporize demons with a thought. But her brilliance cast a shadow that caught the eye of Balthazar, a Demon Lord with ambitions that spanned all four worlds.

Seeking to usurp his rivals and enslave the system, Balthazar ensnared Lunaclipseia. He intended to drain her essence to fuel his ascension. But he underestimated the human spirit. In her final moments, Lunaclipseia did not break; she burned. She detonated her life force, weaving a massive, radiant barrier that encased the entire planet of Gehenna. The shield severed their connection to the Rift, blocking their portals and trapping the demons within their own rotting world.

With her dying breath, she commanded her Ki not to fade, but to wait.

Sixteen years have passed since the barrier rose around the dark planet. The worlds mourn the hero Lunaclipseia, believing her light extinguished forever. They are wrong. In a quiet corner of Terria, a teenager named Luna wakes up to a normal day, unaware that the fire of a legend lies dormant in her veins, waiting for the spark.
