The incident…
Right, before we start, i just want to clarify that i am mental, so yea…
CHAPTER ONE (Kai)
“KAIIIII!!!!!!!!”
I leap ( i say leap, flop would describe it better) off my bed, thudding onto the hard floor, writhing aimlessly on the floor.
As the sunbeams hit my face, i try to think of something really witty to say.
“Whaaaat?!”
Nya, my (annoying) little sister, crashes into my room, breaking probably everything (including my eardrums)
“School starts in, like, ten minutes.” she states, kicking me where i am on the floor.
“Shit.”
Well, yes. Lets say that after a large amount of swearing, breakfast, and the fastest run you have ever seen, i was only 3 minutes late for tutor time.
“Kai. That’s the third time you have been late this week,” my tutor drones, writing my name under the ‘detentions’ heading on the board.
“Only third? Not bad…” i grin.
“It’s Tuesday.”
“Oh yeah…”
As i trudge to my lesson, a small human catches my eye.
He was quite short, blonde, and dressed in all green. Walking through my classroom door.
Who is he?!
I realised I’d stopped moving, and the corridors were empty (well, apart from me), so i thought it would be smart to move.
I entered the math classroom just as the bell went. My teacher’s face fell as he missed the chance to add a fourth late mark to my list.
“Kai Smith. Quite literally saved by the bell.”
“Thank you, sir” i grinned, taking my seat.
“Anyway, as i was saying, you have a new pupil joining your class today.” Mr Winchester announced, indicating the green human, “Why dont you introduce yourself, young man?”
The new boy’s eyes widened, face red.
“Oh,uhm… I’m Lloyd, I’m fourteen, and I’m from Arizona, USA.”
The class chorused a reply of, ‘ooh!’. Being in Japan, we didn’t really have, well, any American students here. So it was very exciting for all the morons.
“Righty ho, lets get started then. Lloyd, you’ll be sat next to Kai over there. Make sure he doesn’t get any detentions, if you would.”
Lloyd plonked his butt next to me.
“Hi.” he said timidly.
“Hello, I’m Kai, duh, and i shall warn you, don’t use the toilets.”
“Why?”
“Well, the thugs enjoy giving bog washes there.”
“Oh.” he fiddled with his bag, “Thanks”
“No problemo.”
Once the lesson ended, me and Lloyd said our farewells, and left.
Hmm… i thought, he seems NICE.
Most of the kids at my school are either in the “cool” group, sport group, or my least favourite, the homophobic group. They’re the ones who give me proper bullshit.
About a year ago, there was an incident.
I don’t know how it happened, but overnight, the whole school found out i was gay. Every day afterwards, some idiot would come up to me, determined to make my life hell.
I dont have many friends now.
To be specific, 4. 3 if you dont count Nya.
So yeah, brilliant.
