Chapter 1: A Plethora of Peculiar People

Chapter 1: A Plethora of Peculiar People

“Welcome, everyone, to the first official Time Travel Tourist Tour of the year!” announced a cheerful, if somewhat nervous, voice. You looked around at the group of tourists lining up outside the time travel processing tent. The tourists were an eclectic mix of ages, backgrounds, and nationalities: from young schoolchildren to elderly royalty, there seemed to be a bit of everything.

You followed the guide hesitantly, but the eagerness of the other tourists drove you forward. You soon found yourself walking into a large room with a strange contraption that looked like a cross between a ship’s helm and a laboratory. The guide began to explain the particulars of time travel and you listened intently, trying to make sense of the scientific jargon.

“Alright, it’s time to choose our first destination,” the guide said. “We have two options: Ancient Rome or Ancient Egypt. Now, who would like to go first?”

Ancient Rome

angeliccove: I like the way it’s written, as if Iona is talking to the readers. Moving constantly from the past to present; letting readers in into the misunderstanding, heartache, loss, etc. I’m glad it’s a happy ending. Love it!

Artsy_Olivia: I love the work... I work with writers as a visual artist to adapt stories into webtoons, comics, character designs, and cover art, and your world naturally fits that space. I’d love to collaborate on bringing these visual elements to life if you're ever looking to expand the project.

Pining for You | Red Logde Hearts - Book One

Alexandra: The same "this is amazing" or "this is so stressful" overly exaggerated lines and paragraphs get old after a while. One tiny scene can take an entire chapter and yet only a few sentences actually have details you can picture about the scene. The rest of it is just the same emotions explained over an...
