Uncharted Territory
Jamie and Kim had heard the stories since they were young: mysterious and unseen creatures lurking in the shadows, strange noises emanating from a peak deep in the woods. Now that they were finally adults, they set off on their own to investigate.
Jamie and Kim, clad in their backpacks and wearing determined expressions, walked along the dirt road that spanned the lush green countryside. They wanted to reach the mountain peak before nightfall, which was why they had woken up early in the morning.
The sun was setting as they approached the rocky trail that snaked its way up the side of the mountain. They were now in uncharted territory, where no one had ever gone before.
Jamie and Kim readied their flashlights and with a collective exhale, continued their trek. With every step, their hearts raced with anticipation, unsure of what was waiting for them.
