Chapter 1
You hesitated for a moment before opening the door. You knew it was a bad idea and that you should turn around and walk away. But something about the knock and the mysterious invitation urged you forward.
Slowly and cautiously, you opened the door, and standing there in the shadows was a tall, hooded figure. You could not see their face. They held out an envelope and said, in a deep and menacing voice, “You must travel this path. There is no turning back.”
