☁️ Ami’s Hidden Wings — The Black Angel ☁️

A Taishō Era Tale of Light, Shadow, and the Girl Who Fell

🌗 Born Between Heaven & Hell 🌗

Ami was born beneath a divided sky.

Her mother was an angel of Heaven — radiant, graceful, wrapped in sacred light. Her father was a devil of the Underworld — powerful, feared, born of shadow.

From the very beginning, Ami was neither one nor the other.

Not holy enough for Heaven. Not cruel enough for Hell.

A living contradiction.

At birth, her wings were pure white — soft and luminous like her mother’s. But as years passed, faint streaks of gray began to spread through the feathers. Not black. Not bright. Just… stained by both worlds.

The angels whispered first.

“She is unstable.”“She carries demonic blood.”“She should not exist.”

The devils were no kinder.

“She is weak.”“She belongs to Heaven.”“She is useless to us.”

Ami grew up knowing one truth: she did not belong anywhere.

And that was how the name began.

The Black Angel. 🕊️🖤

Not fully fallen.Not fully divine.

Just… tainted.

🕊️ The Angelic Academy 🕊️

Because of her mother’s bloodline, Ami was enrolled in an angelic academy — a place of golden halls, floating gardens, and students with polished wings that shimmered under eternal light.

She stood out like ink spilled into holy water.

Her feathers were darker. Her aura flickered between warmth and chill. Her power felt… different.

The others noticed.

They always did.

Whispers followed her down marble corridors.

“She smells like the Underworld.”“Keep your distance.”“If she loses control, we’ll all suffer for it.”

Ami tried to shrink herself smaller. She folded her wings tighter. She lowered her eyes. She kept her voice soft.

But no matter how quiet she became — she was still different.

And then there was him.

A golden-haired angel boy with immaculate feathers and a smile sharp as broken glass.

He cornered her one afternoon beneath the floating spires of the academy courtyard, where sunlight poured down like judgment.

“You shouldn’t even exist,” he said lightly, though venom laced every word.“You’re disgusting.”“A demon pretending to be divine.”

Her hands trembled.

Her wings twitched violently behind her back.

The students around them laughed.

Something cracked inside her chest.

Not anger.

Not rage.

Something deeper.

Pain.

And then—

Light and shadow erupted outward in a violent surge.

One moment, the angel boy stood before her.

The next, he was thrown backward into a towering pillar of fractured light and darkness.

Silence fell.

All eyes turned to her.

“Unstable.”“Dangerous.”“Demonic.”“Fallen.”

The verdict was immediate.

She didn’t wait for punishment.

She ran.

⬇️ The Fall ⬇️

The only escape from Heaven was down.

Through the clouds.

Through the forbidden edge of the sky.

It was said that any being who abandoned the heavenly realms would disintegrate before touching the earth.

Ami leapt anyway.

Wind screamed past her ears. Clouds tore at her wings. Light burned her skin.

She fell through layers of sky and fear.

For a moment — she thought she would vanish.

But she didn’t.

She survived.

Barely.

🌾 The Human World 🌾

When Ami woke, she was lying in tall grass beneath an unfamiliar sky.

The air smelled different. Earthier. Real.

Her wings were torn, feathers bent and cracked. She forced them to fold tightly against her back and wrapped herself in a worn cloak she found nearby.

The human world was quieter than Heaven.

No whispers of purity. No judgment of bloodlines.

Just wind.And distant village chatter.

She was hungry.

Alone.

Broken.

And then someone found her.

💗 Mitsuri Kanroji 💗

It was Mitsuri Kanroji who discovered her.

Pink and green hair gleaming under the sun.A smile so bright it felt like warmth after winter.Eyes that saw more than appearances.

Mitsuri didn’t ask what Ami was.

She asked if she was hurt.

She didn’t question the strange aura clinging to her.

She offered her hand.

“You look lost,” Mitsuri said gently. “Come home with me.”

Ami hesitated.

No one had ever offered her kindness without conditions.

But she was tired of running.

So she followed.

🏠 A Home She Never Had 🏠

Mitsuri introduced Ami to her parents like she was something precious.

“She’ll stay with us,” Mitsuri announced cheerfully. “Isn’t that wonderful?”

They welcomed her without suspicion.

She was given warm food. Clean clothes. A futon near Mitsuri’s own.

No one asked about her wings.

No one sensed the shadows under her skin.

To them, she was simply a quiet girl in need of help.

One evening, as firelight flickered softly across the room, Mitsuri spoke gently.

“I don’t know your story,” she said. “But whatever it is, you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.”

Ami nearly broke.

She almost unfolded her wings then — right there beneath the warm glow of lantern light.

Almost said, This is who I am.

But she didn’t.

Because the trust in Mitsuri’s eyes was fragile and beautiful.

And Ami was terrified of shattering it.

So she smiled instead.

And kept her secret.

⚔️ Training Under the Sun ⚔️

When Mitsuri chose to become a Demon Slayer, Ami followed.

If demons existed in this world — creatures of darkness that hunted humans — then perhaps she could fight them.

Perhaps she could prove she was not what Heaven feared.

Training was brutal.

Sword drills until her palms blistered.Endurance tests that burned her lungs.Sparring sessions that left bruises blooming like ink beneath her skin.

But Ami had always been strong.

Her mixed blood granted her unnatural stamina. Her reflexes were faster than most. Her wounds healed quietly by morning.

She hid those advantages carefully.

Too much strength would raise questions.

Too much resilience would draw attention.

So she held back.

Smiled.

Laughed.

Became Mitsuri’s “little sister.”

By day, she was human.

By night—

She would slip away.

🌌 Wings Beneath the Stars 🌌

Under the quiet of starlight, Ami would walk beyond the village and into the open fields.

There, when no one was watching—

She let her wings unfurl.

Feathers darkened at the edges. Light shimmering faintly beneath layers of shadow.

They were beautiful.

And cursed.

She would stretch them slowly, wincing at old scars from her fall.

Sometimes… she would take flight.

Not high.

Not enough to be seen.

Just above the treetops.

Just enough to feel the sky again.

Above the clouds, the stars looked almost the same as they had in Heaven.

But colder.

Farther away.

She would hover there quietly and wonder—

If Mitsuri knew…

Would she step back in fear?

Would she call her a monster?

Would Heaven ever forgive her?

Would Hell try to reclaim her?

Or was she destined to walk alone forever?

💔 The Fear of Being Known 💔

The scariest part of Ami’s existence was not her power.

Not her bloodline.

Not even her wings.

It was the fear that if someone truly saw her —

They would leave.

Mitsuri laughed easily. Cried easily. Loved easily.

Ami had never known someone so open.

And that terrified her.

Because secrets grow heavier the longer they are carried.

And Ami’s secret had wings.

🌅 A Girl in Between 🌅

In the daylight, she trains.

She laughs.

She protects humans from demons.

She stands beside Mitsuri with a bright smile.

At night, she folds her wings carefully beneath layers of cloth.

She stares at the sky and whispers silent questions.

Is she angel?

Is she devil?

Or is she something entirely new?

For now, she chooses to fight for humanity.

Not because Heaven commands it.

Not because Hell demands it.

But because a pink-haired girl once looked at her and saw not a monster—

But a sister.

And that is enough.

🦢 Taishō Era Secret 🦢

Sometimes, on the clearest nights, a shadow passes silently over the clouds above the village.

No one notices.

No one looks up long enough.

But Ami still flies — just high enough to remember the stars she once knew.

And just low enough to return before sunrise.

✍️ Author’s Reflection ✍️

Sometimes the scariest thing isn’t what chases you.

It’s what lives quietly inside you.

Hiding who you are doesn’t always mean you’re lying.

Sometimes…

It just means you’re surviving.

💭 Question for You 💭

If you had to hide a part of yourself to protect someone you love…

Would you stay silent?

Or risk everything to tell them the truth? ☁️
