Poem: Secret Confession
The roads I walk are lined with flowers 🌸,
The destination near, bright with hopeful hours ✨.
Yet stones bruise my feet, the path is long 🪨,
And weary eyes hide tears, silent and strong 😢.
I smile to the world, confident and free 😌,
But shadows linger where none can see 🌑.
I dream to soar, wings brushing sky 🕊️,
Yet chains of duty pull me low, I sigh ⛓️.
Love blooms like stories that never end 💖,
Yet reality leaves hearts to mend 💔.
Incomplete whispers, unfinished song,
A longing for love where we belong 💌.
I am a clay doll crossing a river of fire 🔥,
A glass house in a city of stones 🏠🪨, reaching higher.
Between the heart’s wish and the world’s decree,
Love remains my guide, my hope, my plea ❤️.
I dream to be myself, unique and true 🌟,
To craft an identity that the world will view.
But labels bind—daughter, sister, wife,
A war for self stretches through life ⚔️.
I wish to speak, to rise and fight ✊,
To challenge the wrongs, to claim my right.
Yet politeness and fear still hold my tongue 🤐,
Silent cries lost, unsaid, unsung 😔.
Time feels a friend, life endless and wide ⏳,
But invisible clocks count all that I bide ⏰.
Youth slips through fingers like golden sand 🌾,
Society’s deadlines shaping each plan 🏃♀️.
I long for peace, calm in my soul 🌿,
Yet anxiety steals what dreams extol 😟.
Comparisons, pressure, endless race 🏁,
Hide broken hearts behind a smiling face 🙂.
I hope the world will see my true worth ✨,
Beauty in character, not mirrors’ girth 🪞.
But every shade and feature is judged today ⚖️,
Confidence falters in the glassy fray 😞.
I dream to walk fearless under moonlit skies 🌙,
Yet outside, unseen dangers arise ⚠️.
Keys clenched tight, steps quick and small 🗝️,
Dreams confined by walls, both high and tall 🧱.
