The Glowing Flower
The night I found him…
I should have walked away.
But I didn’t.
And that one decision changed everything.
Do you believe in coincidences?
I didn’t.
Not until the day something impossible appeared right in front of me.
Something… not human.
It was a normal Tuesday—my day off.
I was lying in bed, bored out of my mind, staring at the ceiling like it had answers.
It didn’t.
So I got up, grabbed my earphones, and headed to the forest near my house.
I liked it there.
Quiet. Peaceful.
No noise. No people.
Just birds… and the soft whisper of the wind.
I was halfway through my playlist when something caught my eye.
A glow.
Faint… but impossible to ignore.
I stopped walking.
“What is that…?”
It looked like a flower.
But not just any flower.
It shimmered.
Soft light pulsed through its petals—colors shifting like a rainbow. It didn’t look real.
I stepped closer.
Slowly.
Carefully.
Curiosity pulling me in.
Then—
something moved.
Inside the flower.
I froze.
“…What?”
I leaned closer, my heart starting to pound.
And that’s when I saw it.
A tiny figure.
Small. Fragile.
With glowing wings.
A fairy.
“No way…” I whispered.
It looked weak.
Hurt.
Struggling.
My chest tightened.
Should I touch it?
What if it’s dangerous?
I hesitated.
But something inside me—something I couldn’t explain—told me:
Help him.
So I did.
Carefully, I reached out… and lifted him from the flower.
He was warm.
Too warm.
And weak.
Then suddenly—
he spoke.
“Take the flower… as well.”
My breath caught.
I almost dropped him.
“You… you can talk?” I whispered.
His voice was soft. Faint.
“It’s my home…”
His home?
I glanced at the glowing flower.
So that’s why.
I swallowed, trying to stay calm.
“What… what are you?” I asked.
No answer.
He was already fading.
When he lost consciousness, panic hit me.
I ran.
Straight home.
I placed him gently on my table, my hands shaking.
A fairy.
A real fairy.
This isn’t real.
This can’t be real.
“Kiro! Come eat!”
My mom’s voice snapped me out of it.
“Coming!” I called back.
Quickly, I covered him with a soft cloth.
Just in case.
At dinner… I couldn’t focus.
Then suddenly—
a voice.
Inside my head.
Kiro… thank you for saving me…
I froze.
That voice—
It was him.
I stood up so fast my chair scraped loudly.
“I—I need to go,” I muttered.
And ran.
When I opened my door—
I froze.
Someone was inside my room.
A man.
Standing there.
Naked.
“Oh my god—who are you?!” I gasped, covering my eyes.
“My name is Bi-im,” he said calmly.
“A Bloom Pinkie.”
I slowly looked toward the table.
The fairy…
was gone.
“…That was you?” I whispered.
“You’re… human now?”
“Only until midnight,” he replied.
And somehow…
that wasn’t even the strangest part of that night.
Because deep inside…
I already knew—
my life was about to change.
