All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

After an apocalypse that almost wiped out existence itself, only remnants of battle remain— and Astra. The last omega alive on Planet 77. In a dystopian world ruled by rut-driven Alphas, desperate for an omega’s touch, Astra is no longer just surviving—she’s being hunted. To stay alive, she does the unthinkable: she hides in plain sight, masquerading as one of them. An Alpha. Because being discovered doesn’t just mean losing her freedom. It means becoming a prize. A possession. A means of procreation. And Astra was no slut, nor was she a toy. But survival isn’t simple when instincts are involved. And it becomes even more dangerous when a powerful group of Alphas begins to notice her—drawn to her in ways they can’t explain, bound by something deeper than obsession. Fated. Desired. Claimed. How long can Astra keep her secret in a world built to hunt her? And when the truth comes out… will she still belong to herself?

Chapter 1 - Surrounded By Danger

Boom!

Clash!

Bang!

The sudden jarring sounds awoke Astra from her deep slumber. She scrambled up immediately, sensing that nothing was alright. Those kinds of sounds don't happen in the luxurious estate she was living in.

And even the ghetto life she used to live before becoming a successful doctor, she knew no sound was as loud and terrifying as the ones sounding outside of her building.

Another loud and booming sound was heard. This time it quaked the earth beneath her feet and shook the pillars that held up her ten million dollar worth bungalow home, causing terror to climb up her spine in a swift manner that gripped her by the throat.

Astra hurriedly tied her silk robe around her waist and ran to her window, to see what the hell was going on at the dawn of a new day.

But what she saw after looking out of the window shocked her to the core. Her heart began to thud faster as she gripped the burglary of her window tighter.

“Oh my God!” She gasped incredulously. Tears brimmed her eyes as panned the destruction that was going on outside.

Soon, the screams of people running helter skelter filled her ears and tugged harshly at her heart strings.

War has dawned upon Planet 77.

And it was here to erase any traces of any living creatures.

It was evident from the houses burning and attacks being rained from an unknown source.

“Crazy omega!” One Vampire Alpha raced towards her window where she was standing and watching, “Won't you run for your life?” He said to her and raced away before she could blink or process his words.

“Do you want to die?” An omega human cried out at her as she ran past the window with her little son in her arms.

Those words were like a sudden jerk that instantly pulled her out of her shock, and before she could even think about anything else, she found herself running along with the terrified and screaming crowd.

Houses were ablaze. Burning wit the intensity to clear out traces of life. There were huge boulders blocking the road paths, obstructing a clear escape.

Worse, bullets were being fired from the sky at an almost speed of light.

At this point, the only thing ringing in her head was— survival.

“These freaking omegas are slowing us down.” A shifter Alpha growled out loud, angry, “Stamp on them if you have to. Push them if you have to. Make them your shield if you have to. But we alphas must survive!”

His voice was so loud that it overshadowed all the noises and screams of terror and deaths surrounding them.

His selfish declaration motivated the alphas to start being violent. Astra's eyes were releasing tears of agony as she watched the alphas become another danger.

Now the omegas had to protect themselves from alphas while running away from the unknown war.

“You are too weak!” A vampire omega hissed at her, “Why are you crying?” She didn’t wait for a reply and zoomed past her as she sliced the neck of an alpha that was aiming to strike at her.

“Help me!” Astra heard another scream, causing her to stop in her fast tracks. She turned around and saw two alphas closing up on an omega. But this omega was holding her two children, crying and begging for help.

But in the midst of an apocalypse, no one heard her desperate cries.

Except Astra of course. The ever weak omega that was too selfless for her own good.

But as she was about to run towards the helpless omegan mother. A huge boulder dropped on the alphas, killing them instantly and like a twist in this bloody madness— the boulder began rolling towards Astra.

“Fuck!” She cussed under her breath and turned around to run as fast as she could. It was at this moment she wished so hard to be a vampire. But she was just a mere unidentified omega.

Astra doesn't know who she is. And if she has any special powers. The vampires had it easy as they could run as fast as the speed of light. The werewolves had it easy too as they could transform and race forward than a mere human.

Shifters were probably the luckiest. They could transform into anything they wanted to protect themselves. Some flew. Some slid through the crowds as a snake. Some ran just as fast as the vampires.

But humans and someone like Astra, were the easiest target. And with the sound of painful wails and screams piercing through her ears from behind, she could feel just how much destruction was going down. How many lives are being lost. And how cruel and selfish the alphas were being.

“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” The sound of the boulder rolling behind her was getting close, “I don't want to die.” She cried, her legs getting tired from running.

But as Astra muttered that, a huge bomb from above was dropped, and it exploded right in front of her eyes before she could take her next breath.

The loud sound of an explosive deafened her but at the same time, she felt as if she had been submerged deep into the sea and now, she was suddenly being pulled out after almost drowning.

With a fast rise and fall of her chest, a continuous pound of her heart, panting sounds emitting from her mouth, and her eyes opening wide; Astra realized it was all just a dream. A realistic nightmare.

Because it was a recall of the apocalypse. A subconscious remembrance of that destructive day. That morning was the beginning of the war on planet 77.

Until it all stopped about twenty days ago.

Yes, she has been keeping count. Losing to time in a post-apocalyptic world was dangerous to a sane but fragile mind. And Astra couldn't afford losing her mind.

Her stable sanity was the only thing keeping her on her ten toes everyday to go scavenge for supplies and food.

What’s left of the war.

“You've got to be kidding me.” Astra laughed to herself in an insane way after she had been able to calm down from the brief panic attack the nightmare gave her.

“I don't know why my subconscious thinks it's best I get to be reminded every damn night just how I lost everything.” She muttered to herself.

“I mean I can already see it's a lost world. It's super obvious since I'm now living in a damaged school bus. So why the nightmare?” She asked no one in particular, barking out another laughter.

It had become a thing to talk to herself to remain sane. No friends. No family. She wasn't sure if any of her loved ones survived. And she couldn't trust anyone, not even a freaking tiny insect that either crawled or flew.

So Astra became her own best buddy. And she chit-chatted with herself everyday like it was absolutely normal.

She was a doctor. She knew what had become of her mind. But she couldn’t admit to such.

Her stomach growled like a fucking whale. Getting on her feet to search her bag if there’s any food left, sounds of footsteps approaching the dead-beat school bus floated into her ears.

That scent.

Damn.

Those footsteps belong to every omega enemy – the ravenous alphas.

From the strong scent they all carried she could tell who they were. But one of those scents was stronger, which means one of those alphas is in a rut.

And all he needs is an omega.

One he will lay with as many times as he wants. Willingly or not. To make her their sex toy they could fuck anytime they wanted. A slave that serves them till death summoned her.

“Guys, we finally found one!” One of those damned alphas exclaimed, “Can you smell that sweet scent of hers?” The sheer relief was evident in his loud voice.

“Fuck! You’re right. An omega is in that bus.” Another one shouted with excitement, making fear rear out its ugly head in her mind.

“Damn it.” Astra cussed under her breath as she realized that her scent is what led them here.

And they will stop at nothing until they've captured her.
