Prologue

1976:

Isaac was starting to get bored; he knew why he was at Manguard Institute, but that didn't matter to him. He just needed to be out so he could return to his work before he got caught. He got too confident, which was his mistake. A mistake he won't make again. He sometimes dreamt that he would wake up, go around the prison yard, make friends, make enemies, and go back to sleep before waking up. Isaac knew now why they actually call it a prison, because you feel like you're physically stuck and mentally stuck, so that you can't even get out in your dreams.

After that guard shot that man and was put in solitary confinement to get his head on straight Warden Manguard demanded that all of the inmates go back to their cells, which included Issac all alone in his cell.

They refused to give him a cellmate after what he did to the last one. See, Isaac befriended a little spider that his cellmate stepped on it, so Issac killed him.

A perfectly reasonable reaction.

Suddenly, Isaac heard over the intercom in a distorted voice the word "LIAR". Whoever said it screamed it over the intercom so loudly it almost hurt Isaac's ears, he heard it echo in his own head, so he covered his ears. He felt aware of the bones in his body, like they were misplaced, like foreign objects that hurt him but it all stopped just as quickly. His cell opened up along with every other cell and this time, Isaac heard screams of pain and gunfire. Sounds he liked to hear, he grabbed the emergency fire axe and began to walk towards the sounds to be a part of the party, he almost forgot what it felt like, to hold an axe with this intention, the sounds of screams echoed in the prison, this time in his head the word "liar" was replaced by 1 thought
