Remember to feel
When his face drew out a smile
My heart would go wild
The flutter I would feel was nothing, but bliss
Knowing that only I would be his
Yet when I looked away
There was nothing true I could say
About my memory of that lovely grin
It wasn’t my fault, thought it felt like a sin
His face I knew not
But my feelings I did
When his life grew taught
And snapped like the wind
I tried to remember his smile that day
Or any for that matter, but there was nothing to say
Grasping to the flutter in my heart
I knew his smile and I could not be apart
