Cassandra’s brief backstory

Cassandra, who is Cata and Cato’s mother, was a really cheerful girl in her childhood.. even though her childhood itself was never truly kind to her.

Her mother, Magnolia, was a brave warrior who constantly went to wars alongside Ash, Cassandra’s father. Because of that, Cassandra spent most of her younger years staying with her grandmother, Remi. Despite the loneliness, she grew into a calm and intelligent child who preferred studying over causing trouble. But everything changed the moment she discovered her snow powers.

At first, the powers were weak and unstable, tiny snowflakes forming around her fingers whenever she got emotional. Yet Cassandra became fascinated by them. During breaks from studying, she would secretly train alone, spending hours trying to control the cold swirling around her hands. Over time, the snow obeyed her more naturally, and what once looked fragile slowly became dangerous.

Years passed, and Cassandra eventually grew into a proper woman and a skilled warrior. She carried herself with quiet elegance, but underneath it was strength sharpened through years of discipline. During that period of her life, she fell in love with a man whose name cannot really be mentioned. Unlike the chaos surrounding her world, being with him felt peaceful. The two later married, and not long after, Cassandra gave birth to Ice.

For a while, they were simply a normal family trying to live through difficult times. Cassandra genuinely believed she had finally reached happiness after all the loneliness she endured growing up. But peace never lasted long in their world.

A sudden marine war destroyed everything.

Her husband was killed during the conflict, and Cassandra, unable to properly defend Ice while surrounded by danger, was forced to escape back to Cat City. Returning there felt humiliating to her, almost like she was running away from her own life. Yet she had no other choice. She continued living with her parents while taking care of Ice and trying to survive the grief that constantly followed her around.

Time passed, and Cassandra eventually fought in battles against Wolf City, where she met a man named Cuthbert.

At first, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with love anymore. Losing her husband had nearly destroyed her, and the problems surrounding marines almost became her own end as well. She refused to allow herself to become vulnerable again. But Cuthbert admired her bravery and determination. He respected her strength instead of pitying her pain, and sometimes he would even teach her new techniques during training. Slowly, the two became close friends, always there for each other during difficult moments.

And somewhere between battles, conversations, and shared silence, Cassandra realized she trusted him.

One day, after a long period of knowing each other, Cuthbert proposed.

Cassandra did not answer immediately. She spent a long time thinking about it, terrified of repeating the same tragedy all over again. But eventually, she accepted.

Later on, Cassandra became pregnant. That period was difficult for her, both emotionally and physically, and she truly needed someone beside her. Yet during that time, Cat City became threatened, and Cuthbert was called to war once again. Cassandra stayed with Magnolia while waiting for him to return.

Months passed.

Cassandra finally gave birth to Cato.

Not long after, Cuthbert returned from the battlefield, exhausted and injured, only to find Cassandra furious at him.

“W why did you.. leave me for that long..?”

“I’m so sorry.. you don’t even know how hard that war was.”

“Please promise me you won’t leave me again..”

“I promise.. Cassandra.”

And the two embraced while Cassandra cried into his arms, desperately wanting to believe those words.

For a while, things finally felt complete.

Then Cassandra became pregnant once again and later gave birth to Cata, who was unusually special in appearance from the moment she was born.. purple hair and green eyes, something nobody expected.

But happiness once again did not last.

One day, Cuthbert had to leave for war again.

This time, he never came back.

And that became the true disaster.

The grief inside Cassandra shattered into something colder and far more dangerous. Unable to carry both motherhood and war on her shoulders at the same time, she made the painful decision to send Cata and Cato to an orphanage while she continued fighting, determined to avenge her husband no matter the cost.. and there begun Cata and Cato’s path before 7109..
