Genshin Impact: Lumine Can Read My Mind

Summary

Everyone plays Genshin Impact and complains about the endless fetch quests. Li Yan is the first person to actually transmigrate there and say: "No way." Forced to deal with the lazy Knights of Favonius and the plotting Fatui, Li Yan relies on his ultimate weapon: internal sarcasm. He roasts everyone and everything in his mind. But there is a glitch in his new life. Lumine can hear his inner thoughts. As he mentally plans to avoid work, get rich, and find a cute girl, Lumine is forced to listen. What starts as annoyance quickly turns into the funniest, most chaotic romance in Teyvat.

Chapter 1: Knocked Out by a Jumpy Dumpty at the Start

Sunshine, beach, waves... wait, why does this place look so familiar?

“You’re awake?”

A soft, gentle voice drifted over.

Li Yan turned his head and jumped in surprise.

Good heavens!

Isn’t that Lumine?

Wait, have I traveled into the world of Genshin Impact?

Ding! Teyvat Recycling System activated!

Note: This system can recycle valuable items in exchange for Points. Points can be used to exchange for any item.

A second later, he couldn’t help but look at Lumine and think: I wonder if I can recycle Lumine?

[Hiss, Lumine is much prettier than she was in the game. Look at how pure and cute she is right now.]

As Li Yan’s thoughts wandered, Lumine’s fair face couldn’t help but turn a few shades redder.

Wait, this guy’s mouth didn’t even move.

Were those words just now... his inner voice?

“My name is Li Yan. Um, how did I end up here?” Li Yan scratched his head.

Lumine replied, “I see. Actually, I fished you up.”

Li Yan: “...”

[The one fished up should be the Emergency Food, shouldn’t it? Speaking of which, where’s Paimon?]

Emergency Food?

Paimon?

Several large question marks appeared over Lumine’s head. Just what on earth was this guy thinking?

“My situation is similar to yours. I am a Traveler. You can call me Traveler, or you can call me Lumine,” she introduced herself.

“Eat something first,” Lumine said, withdrawing her gaze.

After eating a few sticks of Grilled Fish, Li Yan couldn’t help but praise her. “Lumine, your cooking is amazing.”

“It’s alright. Since you’re still not full, I’ll fish for some more.”

Lumine packed up her things and sat by the shore to start fishing again.

In the next moment, the fishing rod began to vibrate violently, as if something massive was about to be hauled up.

Li Yan’s eyes lit up.

[That movement... Paimon must be getting fished up.]

Paimon again?

Lumine felt very strange, but she pulled the rod with all her might.

Splash!

A white Emergency Food crashed onto the shore, stumbling around for a moment before wobbling to its feet.

“You... was it you guys who saved me?” Paimon cried out, touched.

“You are...” Li Yan started to say.

Lumine cut in: “Emergency Food!”

Li Yan: “???”

“I am not Emergency Food! I’m Paimon!” Paimon stomped her feet in anger.

Li Yan stared at Paimon. “I think Lumine is right. You stopped us from getting any more fish, so you...”

“No, Paimon doesn’t taste good!” Paimon flew up in a panic. “Since you saved me, I... I’ll be your guide!”

Lumine looked serious. “No, I think you’re more suitable as Emergency Food.”

Li Yan continued to stare at Paimon.

“No, Paimon really isn’t tasty! Paimon’s meat is sour!” Paimon flew back and forth anxiously.

“Alright, we’re just joking with you. We want to leave the wilderness right now, so we’ll be counting on you as our guide.”

Paimon puffed out her chest. “Just leave it to Paimon!”

Lumine was still staring at Paimon. “I think we need to be full before we can walk out of the wilderness, so Paimon should stay as Emergency Food.”

“Noooo!”

...

“Up ahead is the Statue of the Seven (Anemo), and not far beyond that is the nearest city-state, Mondstadt.”

Paimon was fulfilling her role as a guide.

“If you want to find your brother, you might be able to find leads in Mondstadt.”

“Mondstadt?”

Lumine’s hand brushed against the Statue of the Seven (Anemo) as she thought about Li Yan’s inner voice.

Maybe he knows something about my brother.

Hummm!

Before Lumine could react, a mysterious power surged into her body.

In the next second, her body recoiled uncontrollably. Fortunately, Li Yan was quick and caught her in his arms.

“Are you okay?” Li Yan asked with concern.

Lumine shook her head, blushing slightly. “I’m fine.”

“Hiss, Traveler, did you just obtain the power of Anemo just like that? That’s incredible!” Paimon exclaimed in surprise.

Li Yan also stepped forward to touch the Statue of the Seven (Anemo), but unfortunately, there was no effect. It seemed the wind did not favor him.

But it didn’t matter; he had the Teyvat Recycling System.

As long as he recycled things, he could become stronger. Who cared about the power of Anemo?

“Lumine, you’ve received the blessing of the Anemo Archon and obtained the power of Anemo. Why don’t you give it a try?” Paimon pointed not far away. “There are a lot of Slimes over there.”

“Go with the wind!” Lumine spun around.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

The condensed power of Anemo formed a tornado, quickly sweeping the Slimes into the river.

Bam!

The Slimes burst instantly, dying with their eyes wide open.

“Traveler, you’re so strong! Paimon will have to rely on your protection from now on,” Paimon cheered.

Li Yan was staring at Paimon again. “Lumine, why don’t we eat Paimon to celebrate?”

Lumine put her hands on her hips. “I agree.”

“No! Paimon isn’t delicious!” Paimon flew up in a panic again.

“Haha, just kidding. Let’s hurry up and get to Mondstadt.”

Li Yan scanned the surroundings, sensing a dangerous aura.

Lumine nodded. “Li Yan is right. Let’s head out immediately.”

Boom!

Just then, a strange fluctuation came from above them. Suddenly, several red, bouncing things leaped out.

[Holy crap, Jumpy Dumpties!]

Li Yan’s eyes widened.

“Run!”

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A deafening series of explosions swept across the area. Li Yan hurried to protect Lumine as they jumped toward the river.

Unfortunately, they were a step too late.

The aftershock of the blast surged outward, instantly knocking everyone unconscious.
