Wolf-Blooded: Book One

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Blood defines who one is. And for Tynan Lyall, it tells him he’s cursed. Tynan is to be the next Alpha with his brother, Soren, as his General and beta. His father has done all he can to mold Tynan into the perfect, merciless wolf he can be, so he can lead the pack with claws and teeth. And for his first mission, his father sends him to the palace under cover to infiltrate the crown's inner circle, and gut them from the inside. Lyrien Willow is the daughter of a councilman, not a general or king. She never thought about being on the front lines of a war, preferring to be the mind rather than brawn. She's studied her whole life about the Wolf-Blooded, and is determined to rid the world of the cursed beings. When the two cross paths, Tynan begins to see that maybe not all humans are bad, and Lyrien grows dangerously closer to discovering Tynan's secret, all while a forbidden bond takes root between them. The blood moon is coming, and a full on war is drawing nearer. Tynan has weeks to figure out a plan to protect his family, be the Alpha he needs to be, and prevent a ravaging war from breaking out between human and the cursed. But a wolf can't be caged, and if it is, it always gets out. Once it does, it's a beast to truly be feared.

Preface

They say there’s a monster in those born to be evil. That there’s a merciless beast inside everyone’s destined to be dark heart that longs to be released.

That’s only half true.

It’s not about who one was born as, or “destined” to be. It’s what the person chooses to do, chooses to say, think.

A wolf can be tame, but has a strength that rivals prey.

A snake can be soft, but has a bite that can kill.

A fox can be kind, but has a cunning mind.

Although… a harmless deer can buck. A turtle can snap.

No one is born evil. It’s learned, observed, chosen.

Anyone can have a monster in them.

It’s when one embraces the monster they become a beast.
