Chapter 1
Do you believe in fate?...I did, I believed in fate for so long even after countless heartbreaks, heartaches, and disappointments. Early mornings turn to late nights sitting in bed thinking about what I could've done to never not once feel the pain that I felt. Boys are dumb, mother says...but to the teenage girl boys are everything, if you don't have a boyfriend you're slow if you're lesbian then you're lesser than others. If you have an "ugly" boyfriend, "you could do better" the average teenage girl doesn't want to feel the pain she receives when the relationship doesn't work out but she still powers through. "You didn't even last that long" "you'll find someone better" all of these saying that you spill hoping to help cope with the breakup never helps. She powers through with smiles and uncharacteristic nods. She tries to blend in with the crowd with the mask that's might as well glued to her face. Its not just boys that affect girls buts its also the schools. "You can't wear that", "go change" why should we change or watch what we wear because immature boys can't help but stare. You limit women for men's needs. Why not teach them its rude to stare or maybe control them better. Maybe they should control themselves, the behaviors they put out are disgusting but girls with these types of boyfriends are blind to that fact. Blind people leading blind people.
