Season 1- The accident
A Nerdy girl was making a potion for her project but she accidentally made a love potion.
Before that happened it was a normal day at the campus where students are roaming around talking to each other, A Nerd girl name Rebecca was walking to her class adjusting her glasses and holding her books closely.
While she was on the way she saw her crush, name Brandon the captain of the basketball team.
and she immediately try to stay calm but instead she embarrassed herself by Knocking over a noisy metal trash can.
As Brandon didn't acknowledge her as she sighed in relief and embarrassedment that she was being clumsy around Brandon.
She continued to walk to her class and goes inside taking a seat at the middle since that's where she usually sit.
As the Teacher came inside it talked about potions and how they can be useful and harmful if used mistakingly.
As she takes notes of the lesson and after the lesson the teacher gave them a group project.
"For your group project, your gonna make a healing potion with your partner and it's half of your grades so it's important to cooperate."
As the teacher grouped them.
"Alright I'll group you all into 2."
As the teacher started grouping the class into 2 unexpectedly Rebecca's name was called.
"Rebecca your with... Brandon"
As Rebecca was Shocked that her partner was Brandon. As Brandon approached her.
"You must be Rebecca right? I guess we're lab partners."
As Rebecca looks up to Brandon as her cheeks slightly turn pink and speaks up.
"Y-yeah I'm Rebecca.. and your Brandon right?."
As she asked and Brandon answered her question.
"Yeah I'm Brandon, nice to meet you Rebecca."
As he extends his hand to give her a hand shake since they're lab partners.
And Rebecca slowly extended her hand for a hand shake as it was awkward.
"So when can we start making the project? Since it's due next month"
As Brandon asked her, as she suggested.
"M-maybe in our free time.. we can start."
Brandon looks at his schedule and realizes his busy basketball training conflicts with normal hours.
Brandon suggests meeting up after his practice ends at 6:00 PM in the school's chemistry lab.
Rebecca has to wait all day, her anxiety growing as she prepares all the raw magical herbs.
"Cool, I have practice until six,"
Brandon says, flashing a quick smile.
"Can we meet in the lab right after? You lead the way, since you're the smart one."
They meet up after school to start brewing the healing potion.
Brandon is exhausted from practice and accidentally distracts Rebecca by sitting too close or stretching his arms.
As Rebecca was Flustered by his sudden closeness and scent of body spray, Rebecca's hands shake. She reaches for the textbook but accidentally knocks a jar of forbidden crush-blossoms into the boiling beaker instead of the healing mint leaves.
Brandon leans over her shoulder to read the notebook. He is so close she can smell his cologne. Panicking, Rebecca reaches for the blue powder but grabs the shimmering pink crystal jar instead.
As they finished brewing the potion it wasn't the usual green color from the lesson of the class, instead it was pink and strawberry like color glowing.
Brandon thought it was funny-looking color for the potion to be pink.
But Brandon was thirsty and thought drinking the potion will help his thirst, and he takes the potion and chugs it before Rebecca can scream 'No' it's already to late.
"Why did you drink that we haven't tested it yet."
Rebecca questioned him as she was worried.
"I was thirsty okay? Those basketball practice are exhausting and it was tempting alright."
As he sheepishly said that as suddenly the effects started to hit him, his eyes locked onto Rebecca, the urge of devotion spreads through him.
"Rebecca.. When did you become so beautiful all of the sudden."
As Brandon, confessed, as Rebecca, was shocked and worried to the effects of the potion he chugged. As she spoke.
"Brandon.. What's happening to you?"
As she asked worriedly and scared.
"I don't know.. but I feel this sudden, uncontrollable need to hold your hand and never let go. Why didn't I notice how adorable you are before?"
As Rebecca blushes to his clingy words but realizes to do something to reverse the love potion's effect.
As she put Brandon to a chair and told him to stay still, as he complies instantly, staring at her with hearts in his eyes, saying.
"I'll do whatever you want, Queen."
As Rebecca frantically flips through her potion textbook, only to find the horrifying truth: the love potion lasts for 24 hours, or requires a highly rare antidote she doesn't have.
Rebecca bit her lip in pure panic. She frantically scanned her textbook, realizing she didn't have any of the highly rare ingredients needed for the antidote. To make matters worse, Brandon was getting more obsessive by the second.
Brandon abruptly stood up from his stool, the heavy chair scraping loudly against the linoleum floor.
He stepped directly into Rebecca's personal space, his gaze locked onto hers with intense focus.
Before she could move, he reached out and took her hand, wrapping his fingers securely around hers.
"I don’t care about the project, Rebecca,"
he murmured, his voice thick with sudden devotion.
"I just want to be wherever you are."
Rebecca’s heart hammered against her ribs as Brandon squeezed her fingers.
The warmth of his hand was overwhelming. She pulled back, trying to slip her wrist out of his grip, but his fingers remained locked in place.
He wasn't hurting her, but his hold was firm and unyielding, driven by the absolute certainty of the magic in his veins.
"Brandon, please let go of me"
Rebecca pleaded, her voice dropping to a panicked whisper. She glanced nervously toward the classroom door, terrified someone would walk in.
"You're not acting like yourself. We need to focus on the project."
Instead of releasing her, Brandon stepped closer, completely oblivious to her panic.
He looked down at their joined hands with a soft, mesmerized smile.
"Why would I let go?"
he murmured softly, his eyes reflecting an intense, glassy devotion.
"I feel like I've been searching for you all semester. Just let me stay like this."
Desperate, Rebecca used her free hand to wedge her thick potion textbook right between his chest and her arm.
Using the heavy book as a shield, she gave a sharp, sudden push upward.
The unexpected movement broke his focus for a split second, causing his fingers to slip.
Rebecca snatched her hand back, cradling it against her chest as she took three quick steps backward, putting a heavy lab table between them.
She was breathing heavily, her face burning red from a mix of embarrassment and absolute fear, despite Brandon being her crush.
Brandon blinked, looking genuinely hurt by the distance, like a puppy that had just been kicked.
"Rebecca? Did I do something wrong?"
he asked, taking a step around the table to follow her.
Rebecca held up her hands to stop him, her voice trembling but urgent.
"Brandon, stop! Listen to me. You haven't done anything wrong, but you are not okay right now. That liquid you just chugged? It wasn't water, and it definitely wasn't a normal healing potion."
Brandon paused, tilting his head with a dazed, looping smile.
"What do you mean? It tasted sweet. Like strawberries. Just like you."
"It’s a love potion, Brandon!"
Rebecca burst out, her face burning with heat as she pointed a shaky finger at the empty, glowing flask on the counter.
"I messed up the ingredients for our project. You are under a spell right now. The way you're looking at me, the things you're saying... it's just the magic talking. It isn't real."
Brandon chuckled, a rich, confident sound that seemed completely out of place in the panicked laboratory.
He shook his head, looking at Rebecca with absolute certainty.
"A potion?"
he said, taking another step forward, completely unfazed.
"Rebecca, magic can't invent something out of nothing. I know how I feel. I've noticed you around campus for weeks your quiet smile, the way you focus in class. The drink didn't change my mind. It just gave me the courage to finally tell you."
Rebecca froze, her mind spinning. For a terrifying, thrilling second, she actually believed him.
Could the captain of the basketball team really have liked her all this time? Or it's the love potion's effect?
But before she could even process his words, unexpectedly. Brandon gasped, clutching his chest as his confident posture collapsed.
The glassy look in his eyes instantly vanished, replaced by sudden shock. He stumbled backward, his knees buckling as he gripped the edge of the lab table for support.
"Brandon?"
Rebecca dropped her defensive stance, rushing forward in alarm.
He looked up at her, coughing weakly as a faint, shimmering pink mist escaped his lips.
"Rebecca... what's happening? My chest feels like it's on fire. Everything is going blurry."
The textbook had warned her, but she had forgotten in her panic: An unrefined love potion turns into a volatile toxin if the target resists the magic or tries to rationalize it.
Brandon's logical mind trying to fight the spell was literally making him sick. If she didn't find a cure immediately, he wasn't just going to be obsessive he was going to collapse or worse death.
As Rebecca quickly grabbed Brandon's shoulder, dragging him towards the back door of the laboratory. Since she recalled one ingredient that is highly rare and is in the greenhouse.
As Brandon was slightly heavy for Rebecca to drag but she's trying her best to save him.
As they made it to the greenhouse but there's a security guard protecting the ingredient for the antidote.
Rebecca braced herself, draping Brandon’s heavy arm over her shoulders to keep him upright. He was shivering now, his forehead slick with cold sweat as he stumbled along beside her.
Sneaking across the dark campus grounds was a nightmare, but she finally managed to drag him through the side entrance of the campus botanical greenhouse.
Rebecca let out a breathless groan as she shoved Brandon onto a wooden potting bench. He slumped against a row of terracotta pots, his long legs tangling in a stray garden hose.
"Stay. Still,"
she wheezed, As she goes to the supplies hoping to find the one rare ingredient for that antidote.
After sometime she finally found the rare ingredient the healing herb can cure any sickness or disease.
As she immediately take the ingredient so she can make the antidote. As she takes it the alarms went off as Rebecca quickly takes it and grabbed Brandon's hand to run and escape the greenhouse.
Thankfully they escaped safely and manage to go back to the laboratory. But Brandon was getting worse.
"Brandon.. why you looking at me like that?"
As Rebecca questioned him but he speaks up.
"Why are you trying to cure me? This isn't a mistake, it's destiny! If you put that antidote near my mouth, I'll swallow a handful of soil just to poison myself again so you have to save me. You're my gravity now. You're my everything Rebecca."
Rebecca stood speechless as the potion's effects hit him harder by the second. Ignoring Brandon’s dramatic protests, she finished mixing the ingredients with frantic speed.
"You don't have a choice, Brandon,"
she said, cornering him with the glowing vial.
"You're taking this antidote whether you like it or not."
Rebecca ignores Brandon’s romantic protests and forces the antidote down his throat.
The pink glow leaves his eyes, and he turns back to his normal, calm self.
Rebecca apologizes for the mess, telling him not to worry because the potion made him say those crazy things.
Brandon admits the melodramatic poetry was the spell, but confesses he actually likes her and volunteered to be her lab partner just to get close to her.
