Ben 10 : The Primacy Of The Present

Summary

Ben’s life has always been the same: bad guy shows up, he saves the world, then goes back to watching Sumo Slammers. Until one day, something happens that shatters his normal life. During a routine fight as Feedback, Ben’s Omnitrix destabilizes and connects him to nearly every living soul in the universe. He can hear everything: the dying sound of a young man getting smashed by a truck, the sounds of dying civilizations conquered by Vilgax, and the last words of Magister Labrid said to him before dying. Ben has no idea what is going on. Will he be able to solve this mystery?

Author's Note

Before beginning this story, I would like to share a few things with you, fellow Ben 10 fan. First of all, let's get the legal formalities out of the way. The universe, characters, and world-building elements of Ben 10 legally belong to Man of Action Studios and Cartoon Network. I do not own any characters from the Ben 10 franchise. This is a non-commercial story written by me as a result of my love for the series. I am a fan who grew up watching Ben 10. I still remember those days when I used to buy an Omnitrix almost every single day. One day, my mother asked me why I bought a brand-new watch every time. I told her, "Actually, Mom, as a kid, I thought the events of the show and the Omnitrix were real and that there was only one real Omnitrix in the whole universe. I thought that if I kept buying an Omnitrix every time I see—" My mother finished the sentence for me: "You thought you might actually get a real hero watch." I embarrassingly nodded in agreement, and she burst into laughter. This fan fiction is a result of that love that shaped my childhood. Very few shows touched my imagination the way Ben 10 did. So, after so many years, I finally decided to give back to the series in my own unique way by writing this fan fiction. Warning for Plagiarists: If any plagiarist(s) tries to steal this story and publish it on any monetized platform, such as KDP, Barnes & Noble, Google Books, etc., the actual copyright holders can track them down and take legal action. They won't be facing me—they will be facing real-world lawyers with real-world consequences. Furthermore, it takes a lot of time, dedication, and energy to write a story, even if it's a fan fiction. The amount of time and resources plagiarists spend in stealing another person's hard-written work is better spent writing their own stories instead. I sincerely hope that you enjoy this story, even if it doesn't turn out to be that well-written, since it's my first time writing a story in prose form. Thank you! —A lifelong Ben 10 fan!

Bargara4670: I have marked the ratings down because it was obviously originally written in a foreign language and translated into English.
