Chapter 1: the beginning
Fairy godmothers. For the longest of time, didn’t remember much from her youth. She didn’t know how or when she came to be but she does know her wand was born in her baby arms it’s been with her from her very first breath.
Fairy godmother had so many unanswered questions? She never found out what the answers were but she does remember the feeling she felt like she had a purpose. for as long as she could remember her job was to reword the good and pure of heart that was her role. Her bounds were to the forest, this is why she was created.
She remembers Cinderella's parents fondly. Their love was so pure and honest like sweet honey curing a sore throat. They would always welcome her into their home and give her a place to stay with warm smiles, it’s only natural she was enchanted?. The fairy godmother decided then and there that she would serve this family when her work is done.
In the forest animals lived in harmony for the most part no scraps or deadly vipers on this side of the forest is by the wishing well by the crystal blue river that travels down to the village it was fairy godmother's home. Her plant garden was behind her house, a great old tree whose leaves are still green and beautiful, curved to plant itself on the bricks of the house. Vines were going upward with no use of magic partly blocking her backdoor. Really, nature is a terrifying thing? It's so unpredictable. The air smelled of wet dirt and flowers despite the possible infections from not wearing gloves fairygodmother didnt mind the veggies just needed some help as all, water can only do so much.
Raising her wand she started to do her lingerie with her magic white wand. The basket laid on the spikes of grass relaxed and lazy with no sign of resistance or escaping of flying clothing. She hummed a sweet melody waving the wand around with enthusiasm. She was quite chipper this morning? Must have been breakfast? A good old porridge gets the body plumbing ready to go.
It had been years since then Cinderella wasn’t the sweet girl she remembered standing by her father’s leg. The trees carried the whispered rumours of the town people. They were talking about Cinderella's family. Both parents were dead.
The fairy godmother froze, her wand lowering her chubby soft cheeks turned downward “ dead?”. That couldn’t be true? Her heart started to hurt; she had taken too long to return.
The whispers carried through the leaves growing louder and louder by the second the branches rustled.
Her ears anchored all she could hear was whispered loud murmurs and rustling awful step mother. Mouses. Cruelty. Captive. Tears.
It got louder and louder.
Until the whole forest was screaming.
“ ENOUGH!”. She roared, raising her wand and shooting up a spell.
Her head was spinning. All she could think about was that she needed to go back to that estate. The forest had grown quiet and it was peaceful once more.
She breathed deeply, rubbing her temples. Her old chubby kind face grew with worry.
Her feet started to walk. She found a pond and started to wave her wand to make a spell.
The water by her feet began to move.
The sky darkened unexpectedly? Maybe the weather changed? It certainly wasn't a part of her spell?. She raised her hand higher and called out “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!”.
Lightning struck her in the hand interrupting the spell as she was casting it she hissed in pain clutching her hand holding it close as if shielding it her concentration was ruined the lightning came again faster brighter stronger this time it hit her at her feet she instinctively went back and fell into the wheeling river that splashed with oddness that couldn't be described she couldn't breathe her wand her hair her world spun around her whatever this was was dark.she needed to get out of it.
Fairygodmother's eyes weakened her limbs growing heavy from swinging against the water pressure, she passed out not long after.
Feeling herself woke up she stirred feeling the buttercups and dases that protected her body from the fall her body ached with pain she couldn't see, groaning she began rubbing her shoulder she pulled herself on her knees gasping for air.
Flickering zaps shooted up from her cracked wand. It hung on, fairy godmother's face fell. No no no!.
Scrambling she pouched to grab the wand it laid in her hands, broken flickering. Her eyes filled with tears soaking her round cheeks, letting herself sob shoulders shaking with the force, what was she going to do? Where was she? How will she get home without her magic?.
The blackened sky roared down so suddenly harsh rain attacked her hair mixing in with her tears shaking fingers reached behind her head grabbing the blue hood pulling it up over her white fluffy hair.
She stood up pocketing the wand in her pocket. Cinderella needed her. She needed to get home she was cold and lost. She had to keep moving. Maybe her feet will lead her to the answers she seeks. Her golden ticket to her home.
The trees darkened behind her fairy godmother moved until she was a blue ghost moving around aimlessly. Like a disappearing, flickering dot, a frightened firefly. she was gone.
