I didn't sign up for this
The lineup for the first mixed carnivore and herbivore duo, 'SoS' or Spirits over Souls, has officially been announced. The two members are YouTube sensations Park Jimin and Jeon Jungkook, famous for their talents, but also for their widely adored spirit animals, which are also utterly incompatible. The lineup caused confusion and outrage between fans. Many voiced worries over forcing a sweet, adorable bunny spirit like Jungkook's to live with a dangerous carnivore like Jimin's cat.
We hope the two of them can clear up those misconceptions by becoming great friends. It would be a shame for everyone if the group didn't work out. Including the many mixed Spirit couples and families who would love to get some much needed positive representation in the media.
Either way, Jimin's fluid dance moves and Jungkook's soulful voice will be an explosive combo, that much is already guaranteed.
The TV turned off with a zap.
"Jeon Jungkook!" Jimin slammed his hands on the unstable breakfast table. A salad bowl slid off the edge but Jungkook caught it just in time.
"Geez, how do you have that kinda energy in the morning? No wonder they call you Hell Kitten." Jungkook scrunched his nose as he kept munching, his jaw working like a high efficiency grinder.
"How do YOU have nothing but salad in the morning? That's the real question here. Where's the meat?? Do you want me to starve?"
"The meat is right there." Jungkook pointed finger guns at Jimin's ass but the hissing dancer didn't even begin to crack a smile.
"I'm serious, Jungkook! I'm fucking hungry and we have the most packed schedule ever! If you keep doing this, I might just take a bite out of you!"
Jungkook shrugged, leaned back in his chair and snapped the tip of a carrot with his front teeth in a way that made Jimin's dick hurt in all the not fun ways.
"Should've put it on the grocery list, kitten. I'm no mind reader."
"Christ." Jimin slid into what probably used to be a plastic garden chair a millennium or so ago and had been reborn as a squeaky kitchen nightmare. It's been a long time since he lived in an old, shoebox sized home. He could only assume it was the same for Jungkook. They made more than enough money through YouTube and sponsors to rent a small villa for the both of them to enjoy, but the higher-ups claimed living in a one room apartment would strengthen their non-existent bond.
Fuck that.
His voice dipped into whiny desperation. "Be honest. You actually hate me, right?"
Jungkook chuckled. Fucking CHUCKLED! All raw and husky. Looking at him made Jimin want to scream. This wasn't what he signed up for.
He looked Jungkook up online, like every responsible adult would before putting his signature on a five year contract. Pictures and videos of a cute bunny boy with innocence dripping from big brown eyes was all he found at the time.
Nowhere did he see the monster of a man sprawling in front of him with his legs wide enough apart that his shorts left nothing to anyone's imagination. Not to mention, those muscles! There was nothing cute, fluffy, or baby boy about him!
Jimin felt duped. BETRAYED! And yes, maybe he used to think it was love at first sight, and maybe he DID consider this stupid offer just because of that! No. Let's not be dramatic. He had a teeny tiny crush at most! Either way, whatever he felt had been destroyed by Jungkook's true character.
"Do you think you can wear a shirt for a minute, or will you die if you can't force your pecs on the world?"
"I don't think the world would mind." Jungkook wiggled his brows and made his chest twitch in a matching rhythm.
Jimin hated that he had to agree. Nobody would mind, even if he turned up naked at his grandma's funeral. But it made no sense! He always thought bunny boys were supposed to be adorable round little yarns of wool, not the personification of Greek Gods! Hell, as much as he enjoyed a soft, round body, even he couldn't help but stare the first time Jungkook strutted through their tiny apartment.
Topless.
Jimin's stomach grumbled. He pressed a hand against his tummy and frowned at the softness. Damn it. He should exercise more. How embarrassing would it be if someone found out a carnivore had less definition than a grass nomming pet?
He got up and packed his bag until he noticed Jungkook's intense stare burn through his backside.
"Can you stop?" Jimin looked over his shoulder to see the lazy smirk on Jungkook's face, unmoved by Jimin's threatening growls. That bunny sure got balls, but he already knew that just from looking at him. Jimin grimaced. He tried not to let his eyes stray any lower than the bunny boy's innocent face.
"You know," Jungkook drawled, and spread himself out even more, if that was even possible. "I wouldn't mind tapping that ass."
Startled, Jimin turned his backside away from Jungkook and covered his butt with his hands for good measure. His face burned like it was being eaten by flames.
"The only thing you're tapping on is the dance floor in..."
Jimin glared at his brand new luxury watch. The thing cost him an arm, a leg, and probably his soul, too. It also had a name longer than all his family members combined, in case people needed any more proof of how high class it was. "Thirty minutes! Get a move on, carrot muncher!"
He threw the other bag at Jungkook's face, marveling at how smoothly he caught it. Truly nothing could catch him off guard and it annoyed Jimin to no end.
Just then, a black bunny with the biggest, floppiest ears came hopping from the direction of Jungkook's bed.
"Ash!" Jimin squealed. He dove to the ground to pet the tiny creature. It was the only good thing about living with Mister Perfect, Jeon Jungkook. In a strange turn of events, his spirit animal was actually as cute and adorable as Jungkook liked to make himself out to be.
"Ash loves you more than me at this point," Jungkook said.
Neither jealousy nor judgement clouded his amused voice, but Jimin still took it as a huge win. He picked the bunny up and smooched it for Jungkook to see, hoping he will feel at least a little upset over it.
"Of course he loves me. He knows a good person when he sees one!"
"Are you saying I'm a bad person?"
"Mhm. Very bad and very annoying."
Jungkook chuckled, then he tapped the glass of his watch the same way Jimin did earlier. It looked more expensive than Jimin's own. Fucking Poser.
"Thirty minutes, Jimin. Let Ash breathe for a second, will you?"
Grumbling, Jimin dropped the bunny on the ground as if it were made of glass and watched it hop, hop, hop away.
"Where's Cheeto, anyway?" Jungkook finally found a somewhat clean looking black shirt and struggled to push his head through the hole.
Jimin watched him with growing amusement. He almost looked cute. ALMOST! After glancing at the ticking arms of his watch, he grabbed Jungkook's shirt and pulled it down with force. A hiccup of a laugh shook his body when he saw the wild, curly mop of hair sitting on top of Jungkook's head.
"What do you think," he huffed, once he was sure he had swallowed his amusement properly and managed to go back to scowling. "My sweet, little baby spirit had to catch his own breakfast because SOMEONE forgot to buy proper food. And stop calling him Cheeto, it sounds stupid."
"Not as stupid as Phoenix. What is he? The child of Luna and Artemis from Sailor Moon? You have no taste when it comes to names."
"Better than no taste in food."
"Stop discrimination against veggies! They are food, too, and they taste a lot better than rotting animals!"
Jimin knew they would never agree on that one, or on anything, so he dropped the topic and threw a pair of loose pants at Jungkook's annoying face.
"Wear those. They look amazing on you."
The words barely made it past his teeth when he wanted to suck them back in. He glared at Jungkook who grinned in return.
"Don't worry, kitten. I know you think I'm handsome."
"It's not about what I think. It's the objective truth! Stop drooling over every compliment. It makes you look desperate."
"Oh, I am desperate. Not ashamed about it, either."
Rolling his eyes hard enough to get them stuck, Jimin marched to the entrance in hopes that it would stop him from getting into any more uncomfortable conversations. When he opened the door, Phoenix came strolling in, plopped himself on the couch and threw on the motor as soon as Jungkook gave him a hint of attention.
Little traitor.
"You know what?" Jungkook said, without even looking at Jimin, now that the true object of his desire had appeared. "I get how you feel. Cheeto is much cuter than you, too. Guess we have that in common."
"Jungkook." Fed up, Jimin tapped his watch again and Jungkook groaned with all the petulance of a grown man who acted like he just hit puberty as he hobbled to the door, the backpack between his legs and only one arm in his leather jacket.
The car was tiny.
Jimin could've sworn one of the points in his contract was to give them an appropriately sized vehicle. Had he known this is what the company thinks is appropriate for two grown men, he would've demanded a truck.
To be fair, the car might've been alright regardless if it wasn't for Jungkook man spreading into his personal space. At first he tried to push his legs against him to reclaim his side, but it was useless. Jungkook sat there like a sack of rocks.
"Hey." Jimin bumped his elbow into Jungkook's bicep. "Think you can make some room?"
"Hmm... I don't think so, no."
"It was a rhetorical question, Jungkook. Move!"
Jungkook wiggled a little, but it didn't do anything.
"What am I supposed to do? There's nowhere for me to go."
"At least sit properly, then."
"No way. Certain body parts need to breathe, you know?"
"And mine don't?! Last time I checked, I was a guy, too, and I can still sit without pushing you into a corner!"
For five minutes, they drove in icy silence. Jimin knew it was exactly five minutes because he counted the seconds. He only stopped when Jungkook grabbed his leg as if it was his property and draped it over his own.
"See? Feels nice, doesn't it?"
It did, but not good enough to admit it. Jungkook's skin felt cool but slightly sticky. That's Korean summers for you. Barely out of the shower and you're already back to dripping all over the place.
In front of them, the driver snorted but schooled his features into perfect indifference when glancing at the mirror and noticing Jimin's murderous glare. Seems like everyone thought he was a joke these days.
They arrived at the venue barely on time. It wasn't either of their first performances in front of an audience, so Jimin had no business feeling as nervous as he did, but he couldn't help it. Performing with another person felt like a whole different planet compared to dancing by himself.
"Scared?"
Jungkook finally finished changing and getting his makeup done. Now all they could do was wait for their turn. They had the changing room all to themselves, which would've been great any other day, but right now, he really wished for someone other than Jungkook to talk to. Speaking of, Jungkook rolled his chair beside Jimin's, his arms folded on the back rest and his chin resting on top of his hands.
"It's normal to be nervous," Jimin said, careful not to straight up admit to any weaknesses.
Jungkook laughed, "Of course. Didn't say it wasn't." He rolled around so they faced each other. "Want me to show you a trick to get rid of the nerves?"
"I feel like I should say no if I want to keep living."
"Oh, come on. Don't be like that."
Jungkook did that thing he always did when he acted cute for the camera. The tilted head, the pout, the sparkly eyes. In Jimin's throat rose a groan announcing his defeat. No matter how much he reminded himself of Jungkook's true nature, he just couldn't help being weak to his rare moments of cuteness.
"Ugh... FINE! It won't work, anyway. I've always been a nervous wreck before performing. That's just how it is."
"Don't worry, trust the process." Jungkook rolled closer. Their knees bumped. Jimin flinched, moving away, but Jungkook grabbed his thighs and pulled him even closer, forcing his legs open and rolling between them, their faces too close to look anywhere but each other's eyes.
"You're flexible." For the first time, there was something similar to awe in Jungkook's voice and it sent tingles down Jimin's spine. He licked his lips where Jungkook's breath hit them, his thighs vibrating where the other man's hands slid over them.
"Most dancers are."
"No. Not like you."
Jimin blinked. Jungkook never praised him before. Now it seemed like he couldn't fucking stop and he wasn't sure how to feel about it. Electricity sizzled between them. Jungkook's hands moved up his thighs but his gaze never left Jimin's eyes. Like he was busy putting a spell on him. And that's definitely what he must have done because Jimin could not move.
He swallowed hard, his stomach clenched. Jungkook's hands reached as far as they could go without touching his crotch. So close, but never close enough. Jimin sucked his bottom lip between his teeth and chewed until he tasted blood.
"How's that," Jungkook asked, still massaging the meat of his thighs. "Relaxing, right?"
Jimin inhaled a shaky, shallow breath.
"I think I need to go."
"I don't think you do," Jungkook said, smirking.
Both of them looked down. The shape of Jimin's dick was visible through his pants.
"Fuck!" Startled, Jimin pushed Jungkook away. Bunny boy lifted his hands to prove his innocence, even as his chair kept rolling and eventually bumped against the piss yellow walls.
"Shit, Jungkook! What the hell did you do?!"
"Nothing yet, kitten. I could, though. If you want me to."
"What?! No!"
Jungkook shrugged. "Your loss." After a pause, he added, "You're not nervous anymore, right?"
True. Jimin didn't feel nervous, he was panicking! Not only did muscle bunny Jungkook almost touch his dick, but he fucking WANTED him to! A part of his damn brain still did!
Jimin jumped up so fast, his head was spinning. Or maybe it was because the blood from his dick suddenly rushed back to his head. He fled to the toilet, the too tight jeans pooling around his ankles in seconds.
"Shit, shit, shit!" He grabbed his cock, felt it pulse in his hand. A drawn out groan slipped from his throat as if it's been there for years. The tiniest movements from his fingers made him hiss. A sudden knock on the door made his thundering heart jump to his throat.
"Jimin, we have five minutes."
Cursing, Jimin started moving his hand along the hot flesh, but with Jungkook on the other side of the door, nothing felt as good as the memory of his big hands grabbing his thighs. Jimin moaned again, louder than before. His back fell against the flimsy wall of the stall, making it clatter loud enough for the whole venue to hear.
"Jimin." Jungkook's voice became just as husky and breathless as his own. "Open the door for me, please?"
He didn't know what he expected to happen, or what he wanted to happen for that matter. Jimin didn't know anything but the feeling of wanting and needing something so badly, that he couldn't grasp a single rational thought. He should've known this was a bad idea right then.
His fingers shook so hard, he needed three attempts before he managed to turn the lock without slipping. As soon as he did, Jungkook pounced on him like a wolf about to devour its prey.
Their lips crashed and burned. Jimin opened his mouth, welcomed him in, their tongues twisting, a foreign weight pressing against the roof of his mouth and the back of his teeth. Jimin held onto the walls, his legs so weak, he would drop to his knees if he didn't. When Jungkook touched his cock, Jimin sobbed in relief, his hips chasing the rhythm of his fingers. He pressed his face into Jungkook's neck, his teeth sinking into the thrumming song of his pulse, his nails buried deep in the fabric of his glittering shirt, wanting to rip it into pieces.
He didn't realize when it happened, but at some point Jungkook was on his knees, his lips wrapped around Jimin's cock and his hands gripping Jimin's thighs hard enough for him to feel a dull ache which he already knew would haunt him for at least a week.
It was quick and dirty. Before he knew it, Jimin came. Bursts of utter, blinding bliss ripped through his body and his rapid, high-pitched moans no longer sounded like they came from him. His body became a foreign object created for nothing but pleasure. He craved to explore every part of it anew.
Jungkook kneeled on the ground between his legs, his mouth agape, glistening wet, dripping with his cum.
"Shit." Jimin rubbed his face, too overwhelmed to work through what just happened. Jungkook swallowed and wiped his mouth. Then he sat there, looking a little lost and confused, and so fucking adorable, like a cherry on top of cream. Delicious.
And those bite marks...
Jimin froze. Fucking hell, the bite marks. The imprint of his teeth and nails glared at him, bloody and angry, left all around Jungkook's neck and wherever his shirt revealed enough skin.
Shit! It looked like he had been mauled by a beast!
"Jungkook," he started, but just then a hint of clarity and lust returned to Jungkook's dazed gaze. He got up and pressed little kisses around the corners of Jimin's mouth. Jimin didn't have the strength to stop him, or maybe he simply couldn't resist the sweetness of his blood drenched lips. He licked them, sucked on them, shivered with every tremble on Jungkook's body and every heavy groan.
"Hey," Jungkook whispered, lips on his ear, starting the shivers all over again. "Let me fuck you?"
At that, Jimin's body stiffened instantly, but not in a good way.
"What?"
"Just once. A quickie. Come on, kitten."
"I can't bottom for you, Jungkook."
Finally, Jungkook pulled away, allowing Jimin to actually think. Yes, he couldn't do this. It was nothing like him! Why did he let it get this far to begin with?
"And why not?"
"Because I'm a carnivore! I won't let a freaking herbivore fuck me! My species is supposed to dominate yours!"
Jungkook snorted. "Sure, babe. Whatever helps you sleep at night."
A persistent ringing filled the bathroom stall. Jungkook got up and wiped his mouth once more. Jimin wished he didn't, he already missed the sight of his cum covered lips.
"Time is up," Jungkook said, and before Jimin knew it, he was on stage, surrounded by familiar lights and adoring faces. He waved at his fans, put on a smile. Signs covered in glitter moved with the crowd. Some said 'Hell Kitten' in an orange font, others said 'Mister Perfect' in baby pink. The same pink as Jungkook's disheveled shirt and the blush on his cheeks. He played his persona with perfection. The baby boy, the sugar sweet bunny rabbit. But Jimin knew him better than that. He knew him better than any of the girls and boys desperate to get his attention.
The thought lit a spark in him. A spark that kept burning long after the blinding stage lights died that night.
