Summary

Mariah has loved Ethan for years, but he's always treated her like a little sister. Afraid of rejection and tired of the mixed signals, she agrees to a risky plan created by her younger sister, Elena—a fake relationship designed to make Ethan jealous. Meanwhile, Ethan struggles with feelings he's spent years trying to bury, convinced that loving his best friend's sister could destroy everything he values. As jealousy grows, old wounds reopen, friendships are tested, and one misunderstanding after another pushes everyone to their breaking point. With summer coming to an end, every secret is exposed, every heart is on the line, and everyone must decide whether to keep hiding behind fear or finally fight for the people they truly love. A heartfelt coming-of-age romance filled with family, friendship, laughter, heartbreak, and the reminder that true love is always worth the risk.
