Summary

Forget the fairytale you think you know. For years, DriZella lived in the shadow of a bitter mother, trapped in a house built on grief, spite, and stolen control. She was forced into a role she never asked for, written off as nothing more than a villain in someone else’s happily-ever-after. They were wrong. Behind the cold smiles and sharp edges lies a force ready to break free. DriZella possesses a dark, dangerous spark—a power of her own that no stepmother can tame and no fairytale can hold. When the illusion of royalty collapses and the kingdom turns its back, she stops playing by everyone else’s rules. She isn't looking for a glass slipper or a prince to save her. She’s claiming her own destiny, forged in fire and written on her terms. "Some stories are born in light. Others are forged in flame." An intense, dark fantasy reimagining that redefines power, identity, and retribution.

PREFACE

You thought you knew the story of DriZella, but you don’t—at least, not my version.

In the classic Cinderella tale, she was always stuck under the thumb of her mother, Lady Tremaine, following every bitter order and playing a minor villain in someone else’s fairy tale.

Here, that entire mold is shattered.

She is stepping completely out of her mother’s shadow and breaking away from everything you expected. DriZella is striking out on her own path, claiming her own destiny, and bringing an entirely new look and an undeniable attitude.

No stepmother controls her moves. No prince defines her worth. This is her story, forged in fire, written on her terms.

Disney should hire you, they suddenly need a burst of creative energy that actually is viable. I love this premise. Lets see what 'Cinderella' should look like. I'm already thinking, you could turn this into a telenovela. I'm there!

WAITTT 😭🫵 THIS PREFACE??? I’M ALREADY LOCKED IN.The way you took a familiar fairytale setup and immediately made it feel like something darker, messier, and WAY more unhinged??? HELLO??? 👀I went in expecting ✨Cinderella✨ and came out like “oh... so we’re choosing CHAOS today.” 😭💀The atmosphere is giving dark fairytale + secrets + questionable decisions + characters who definitely know more than they’re telling us and I AM SAT. 🧎‍♀️📖And Drizella??? GIRL. I already know you’re about to make me question EVERYTHING I thought I knew about her. 😭The preface did exactly what a preface should do:hook me → confuse me → make me suspicious → make me NEED Chapter 1.Author really said “here’s a tiny taste” and expected me to be normal about it???ABSOLUTELY NOT. 😭🔥Adding this to my TBR because I fear I have already been emotionally kidnapped by the plot. 🫠📚DriZella, I’m seated. Now drop the chaos. 🗣️🔥

His Forsaken Fate

Bargara4670: I have marked the ratings down because it was obviously originally written in a foreign language and translated into English. I hope that whoever edited the second half will go back and do the same to the first half. Having said that, this was a well-thought-out plot which kept me interested enough ...

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me.
