Author's Note to Readers
🌷 Author's Note to Readers
Dear Readers,
Before you begin The Flowers We Learn From, I want to tell you what this story means to me.
This isn't a story about having a perfect life.
It isn't about becoming the most beautiful, the strongest, or the most successful person in the room.
It is about being human.
Life doesn't always give us the answers we want.
Sometimes, we lose people.
Sometimes, friendships change.
Sometimes, the places we love become memories.
Sometimes, we look at ourselves and quietly wonder if we are enough.
And sometimes, we become so focused on where we're going that we forget to notice how far we've already come.
Through Lian Yi, Changyuan, and the people they meet along their journey, I want to explore the small lessons that life leaves behind.
🌷 We learn that happiness doesn't have to be extraordinary.
Sometimes happiness is a meal with friends, a late-night conversation, a photograph, a silly joke, a familiar place, or simply having someone beside us.
The moments we think are ordinary can become the memories we treasure most.
🌱 We learn that healing doesn't mean becoming a completely different person.
Sometimes healing simply means learning to be kinder to the person we already are.
You don't have to become perfect to deserve peace.
🌻 We learn that change isn't always something to fear.
People grow.
Friendships change.
Places become memories.
Paths separate and sometimes cross again.
But change doesn't erase the meaning those moments once had.
🌺 We learn that we cannot keep every person or every moment forever.
Some things are temporary.
And being temporary doesn't make them less beautiful.
Sometimes, knowing that a moment won't last is exactly what makes us appreciate it.
🪷 We learn that our difficult experiences don't define our entire story.
Like a lotus growing from muddy water, we can grow through difficult seasons without allowing those seasons to become everything we are.
The place we came from doesn't have to determine where we bloom.
📷 We learn the importance of being seen.
Not judged.
Not compared.
Not measured against someone else's idea of perfection.
Just seen.
Seen for who we are.
Seen in our happiest moments and our uncertain ones.
Seen without having to pretend.
🤍 We learn that love isn't always loud.
Sometimes love is listening.
Sometimes it is remembering.
Sometimes it is giving someone space.
Sometimes it is encouraging someone to become who they truly are.
And sometimes—
it is simply staying.
🌸 And perhaps the biggest lesson is this:
We don't have to wait until our lives are perfect before we allow ourselves to be happy.
Life is made of seasons.
Some are bright.
Some are painful.
Some pass quickly.
Some stay with us for years.
But every season leaves something behind.
A lesson.
A memory.
A person.
A photograph.
A little piece of ourselves.
That is why this story is called The Flowers We Learn From.
Because flowers don't all bloom at the same time.
They don't all look the same.
They don't all grow in the same place.
And they don't all live forever.
And yet—
each one has something to teach us.
So, dear reader, I hope that somewhere between these pages, you find something that reminds you of your own life.
Maybe a person you miss.
Maybe a friendship you treasure.
Maybe a version of yourself you are still learning to understand.
Maybe a moment you wish you could photograph and keep forever.
Or maybe—
just a small reason to look at tomorrow differently.
Because life may not always bloom the way we expect.
But that doesn't mean it isn't beautiful.
And perhaps that's what flowers teach us best:
Nothing has to last forever to leave something beautiful behind.
🌷 Welcome to The Flowers We Learn From.
I hope you find a little piece of your own life somewhere between these pages.
Thank you for walking through these seasons with me.
With love,

I hope you’ll like all the other chapters too. 🌷🤍 Thank you so much for reading and supporting my story!
Very beautifully written, especially for an author’s note. Not only the notes above, but even the summary itself. It’s only the beginning, yet it already gives me that warm, hopeful, spring-like feeling as I read it. 🌸
But it’s not entirely warm, either. There’s a subtle chill beneath it--a reminder of the realities of life, the things we cannot escape from: the obstacles, the struggles, the complications, and especially the emotions we experience that make us human.
It’s as beautiful as the movie that I so adore. It’s called "Collateral Damage." It reminds us of three important things: Love, Time, and Death. And yet, in this story you’ve written, those themes--or perhaps something similar to them, with Life itself at the center--are portrayed through something as delicate and beautiful as flowers--flowers that speak a language of their own; a language so beautiful and meaningful that, somehow, it makes you stop and appreciate even the smallest things in life.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where this story takes us. 🌷✨
it really tech us good lesson and to have happy life despite struggles
