Prologue
Boy
''To be endless cost much, your added years, shortens someone else's. Their life is on your hands, your choice will kill them. But if you wish to continue just say so.'' His voice was somber and bored, as if he has said this every day. His words were amplified by the darkness. The only light was the flicker of a candle.
I ignored his warning and nodded,the chance's of me meeting this person was slim. If I didn't think about it, it didn't bother me. '' It's to late to turn back.'' I said.
'' This time yes, but not always.'' He pulled out a bowl and a knife from the holds of his dark robe. The bowl was wooden and had a mix of herbs and water resting at the bottom. He took my wrist and cut a crude line down the length of my arm. Blood poured into the bowl, tainting the pure water.
He chanted constantly never breaking concentration from the bowl. The colors swirled together shifting the herbs, he pressed my hand down. The worst pain ever shot through my arm, filing my whole body. The last color I saw was red, before my whole world went black.
